Ulysses, avoiding the fate of siren songs on the minds of men, would need some slack in his mast-bound ropes on hearing this faithful rendition from an all-time favorite LP! As with his desire to return, home at last, as the rightful king of Ithaca, so WB & DF had spent the decade in decadent LA while homesick for the big apple all the while. Finally returning after Aja, nothing hence was equal to this LP's collection of heroic shanties, though Gaucho comes close.

Really nice, James. I do like to see how your perform, so please continue in the future. One thing I would find more helpful would be to present the sheet music in four measure groupings where you currently have lyrics and comments (so I can look ahead) and put the commentary on the right side (basically switching the top layout but with more measures of music. You know I do not feel comfortable suggesting this. But what youre calling the synth solo I believe is a harmonica silo. After all, Donald, for being a bigtime rock star, resorted to doing Harmonica solos, clearly by his solo work and in later TWO AGAINST NATURE and EVERYTHING MUST GO tracks. That it is single note lines supports the idea.

I was going to ask if you could do 'Home At Last' but decided not to - I have been learning jazz piano for a few years with the hope of one day learning my favourite songs - As you know jazz harmony is challenging so I though it be years until I could play songs by Steely Dan - You have made this dream a reality - If you are ever in London England I owe you a good few pints of Guinness! - Thanks so much!
