STEEP HILLS | Middlesbrough Corporation Dennis Loline 99 

I take a private outing on the 500 Groups preserved Middlesbrough Corporation 99, a 1958 Northern Counties bodied Dennis Loline MK1, taking us through the streets of Shildon. Even though there was only four of us in total on the bus, 99 did the hills very well (for a Gardner engine), and also due to legend United/Arriva driver Norman at the wheel (not Crocodile Dundee btw), who is pretty familiar with 99s (non standard) tractor gearbox, and getting the revs right. ©SB #dennisloline #gardnerengine #northerncounties
