THE PL wanted a private hearing and that's what they have got. The PL brought the case against City yet in 3 years (according to you, seems you know something nobody else does because it wasn't announced until February 2023) the PL have not produced ONE SINGLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE against City, so to say the club have failed to provide anything is (a) total speculation because you don't know if they have produced anything to the PL or not; (b) completely meaningless because they do not have to produce anything to you or me, (c) completely untrue because in a PRIVATE hearing the evidence you produce is heard in PRIVATE, and (d) completely irrelevant because it's not City who have to prove they are innocent, it's the PL who have to prove they are guilty. Every single one of you needs to get this into your head. Not one of the articles or videos you have seen, read or heard has told you anything beyond what the initial announcement has told you, which is that City have been charged, because no further information has been released since by EITHER party. But as stated it is the PL who asked for it to heard in private, so stop blaming City for doing what they have to do, release any information they have to the PL, and to the PL only, at the private hearing, NOT to you, me or anybody else.

MC should be suspended from any participation in the league pending the outcome as they are sueing the PL. Then they can sue the league if it’s proven they are being unfairly treated. If they are sueing because they believe they are being unfairly treated, why do they choose to play according to the rules and sign up to the rules? Unfortunately we live in a democracy so much as you don't like to hear it, other people are entitled to support the club and have their own opinion on it. The difference is that his comments come from experience, not just made up assumptions like the rest of you on here are posting, because you have nothing else to post, no proof, no convictions, absolutely zero evidence produced by the PL so you just make it up as you go based on what you know, i.e. nothing.

@@stanleye9721 This is going to a tribunal not a court. Even if City win the case the rules will be re-written to comply with any lawful anomaly. This is a sport and it has to have a set of rules that apply to all.

@peterholden3672 except United, Arsenal and Liverpool who invented the rules to stifle competition, when something doesn't go quite right (such as City blowing them all out of the water by every metric), they change them again and again and again until something sticks. Perhaps if those clubs were run better and had owners who invested instead of extracting millions in dividends they might do better. Until then, the history clubs can enjoy chewing on our dust and anyone else's who are allowed to invest

The amendment is tabled at the November meeting (with advance warning of what to be discussed) and a consensus asked for and given regards the rules. At the monthly meeting in December the vote is held, and city's vote has changed. It's in the article, the PL charter on introduction to proposals, and City's own statement that they object to the amendment vote. That's 3 sources with quotes.
