Yeah that’s why Charles Ponzi never went to prison, the fact that he managed so much money proved that he was following the rules and smarter than all the dirty poors who dared investigate him

@Cedisdead exactly, these guys are bragging about losing asets...when the club is sold, it won't be with these hotels. Equity firms rip value and soul out of institutions ...
@@russellward4624 That isn't true at all, the inflation of prices including tickets, tv packages, football boots shirts etc is all down to player salaries. I used to pay £3 to go to a Middlesbrough game as a 16 year old. No footballer needs to be earning £10m a year.

@@environm3ntalist549 It was reported that unlike the EFL and UEFA, the Premier League doesn’t have a rule against this, so if he knew that he would’ve waited before saying the only thing Chelsea can do is sell players before the 30th of June. Now that this has come to light, when he got asked in the video if Chelsea are still in trouble, he literally said “Let’s see”. Can’t say that this is a surprise though because he always gets defensive when asked about Man city, so he’s clearly biased.
While defending city every chance he gets. When it's chelsea, they must have done something wrong and its against spirit of game. When it comes to city there was no chance of such fraud in his opinion 😂 He is bought and paid for mate.
Not really, the big clubs just have (very few) non-sporting assets that they can leverage... this buys Chelsea the year that has just gone. You can't sell it twice. Building this stuff is exactly what FFP is incentivising the not big clubs to do. They need their own revenue streams.
@@edmanning274Until I see any type of sanctons for Man City then I'll believe they're serious. It's impossible to have 115+ breaches and be guilty of nothing

Just wait until you see the bot conversation threads trying to tell us how great and life-changing some random product is. I saw one before with 23 different bots all talking to eachother LOL.

They're meant to be obvious scams because the people who don't see that they are tend to be the exact people who will fall for scams, similar to purposefully misspelled emails from (insert random African country)'s kings.
He's never been employed by City. He was involved in a negotiation to sell the club back in 2007, which Shinawatra ended up buying. He answers this on X quite regularly.
He's never worked for City. He is an expert, its quite clearly a loophole that shouldn't be allowed. Otherwise I guarantee you, Newcastle will 'sell' their training ground for '£1bn'. This summer.
@@georgeyboy5256 Is the fair market value for it £1b? No it isn't, so lay off the hyperbole. It's a loophole that doesn't exist in the EFL. Premier League is a different story. End of.
@@georgeyboy5256 Not the same though is it. Chelseas hotels are sold for a fair price. They're in the rich area of London ffs. Good for Chelsea. FFP is killing football. Imagine being forced to sell home grown players to keep the peace. Makes no sense. Demonizing the wrong entities. Good for Chelsea
It was the Spanish government who bought that piece of land from Real Madrid and paid whatever it was £150m when it was worth £7 so don’t just accuse English clubs of corruption
Their should be a rule that these owners cannot sell of buildings and certain assets of the club... i.e training grounds, stadiums etc that belongs to the clubs!
@johnhopkinson4054......Yes, and if I remember correctly, it was the 'local' government [Madrid] that bought it - amid vehement accusations that it was clearly doing so to bail out Real Madrid. I have never forgiven RM for this - I had always respected and admired this revered club and its wonderful history, but that all stopped when they basically cheated to stay in business.
He has, he's said numerous times that there will be serious sanctions if City are found guilty. You can't just look at City's accounts and find it though. City's accounts are fine for FFP/PSR. It's fraud that is being alleged which is much harder for any expert to go through as there is no legal public evidence.
Disagree if a club owned a 100-acre site, leased it out, built on it, then sold it between legal entities, it was above board. Colloquial feelings aside.
@@BirdLives7 for how many seasons now and have they been charged…no but Everton got deducted Nottingham Forest deducted point now they on Chelsea because they find loopholes…so you stfu 🤫

If you don't the video, put your phone down and go to your mummy to cry.
Unfortunately, Forest don’t own the City Ground….thats the problem. Marinakis wants to buy it but the council won’t sell or extend the lease. Marinakis is currently buying several buildings and land in and around Nottingham so has more bargaining power 👍🏻

FFP is designed to limit smaller clubs and prevent the hegemony of the big clubs being threatened. It's no surprise that the Big Six are immune from meaningful consequence while other clubs lose points. That's the entire point of it.
selling properties has always been allowed under FFP, what is not allowed is selling them for more than they are worth and that value needs approving and could be challenged

Eh? All he's ever said is that City's charges have nothing to do with Everton or Forests charges (or Chelsea if they get them). One is about serious fraud, the other 3 about overspending. All he's said is that it isn't a quick job, but the punishment is several times more severe.

I detest Cheatski with a passion... But this move has made me laugh... In one move they have made a mockery and laughing stock of the PL and in this very same move they have just obliterated the notions of FPS actually being a thing.. Haha... The PL are fools and Cheatski have just proven it...
They WANT the PL to challenge the “loophole”. The cases were Blueco. Were promised a certain percentage of extra consideration has been dragging on being alotted to them, and there are non-supportive powers in place who stalled the court hearings over just this issue, in hopes of getting Chelsea in trouble in the interim, while they waited. They are too smart for that. And this is wholly about getting the extra hardship consideration they were promised in the sale (not just the 12 mentioned). If they get done over on that, please believe they have plan B,C ….. through Z waiting, and more lawyers than the PL has employees. And why pick on Everton and Forest and not Chelsea …. Or even a Man City (although when dealing with court cases and fraud the primary reasons are different as well)? The Superleague. No one cares what Happens to those teams, and the FFP may really need to help them avoid spending money they genuinely don’t have (the original explanation for this slanted cap to begin with), but the primary fear is if you push enough of these mega money, mega teams with harassment too far…. If you make it also so that United and Liverpool, etc can never compete with teams from other leagues for the very top purchases (because that’s coming as the rules are set to get more restrictive), the more likely these teams are to run back to the arms of Madrid and company. People LOVE the women’s Superleague. It scares them, and it should.
The new rules just come more into line with uefas. Prem will be 85% of turnover while teams in european competitions will only be allowed to spend 70%. So madrid, juventus, utd, city etc... will all be under the exact same spending rules.
Im bored of hearing about FFP. Im a football fan not an accountant. I don't need to be listening to people talking about accounts unless its my accountant
so if the rule book says they have to get approval in 10 days and haven't why haven't they been charged with breaking premier league rules? the biggest issue with all this inc the Everton situation etc seems to be a consistency of approach.
FFP didn't exist then. It came about in response to Abramovich buying silverware in the 2,000s by spending up to 600% more than the big 6 clubs. Before he came along Chelsea had 1 title in their whole history- not a big club, and no-one wants a league where it's basically a battle of the billionaires.
Curious if the delay is maybe tied to the agreement Boehly and Co made preventing them from selling Chelsea for a set period of time ? Also unbelievably poor from the PL if they couldn't anticipate related party sales or in fact the other valuation issues football has had of late like the pjanic and arthur swap deal .
Sold the assets but kept the income stream - sounds like it can be challenged on the basis of an "arm's length transaction", or whether the fair market value is justified if the buyer's sold the income rights. Just like in F1, these FFP rules will end up with who's got the best accounting team
This is exactly why FFP is pointless. Clubs with vast sums of money, to spend, are going to find ways to spend it. Its exactly why the FFP is geared towards revenue and not affordability. Investment, is by far a more sustainable growth method, than relying on revenue alone, yet heirarchy clubs wouldnt have an advantage if affordability rules were used. The Americans love taking out loans against club assets, not using their own money.
I love these Chelsea owners. From a business perspective these guys are so fuxking creative it’s quite impressive. The sold the company to generate a sudden large profit yet they hold on to the revenue stream by giving themselves a management contract.
I think this transaction is fine. The properties are valued at that price £77 mil. The club's value will lower now they aren't on the books anymore. If they sold the property anywhere else they'd get £77 mil. They have transferred ownership rights at market value to a different company even if that company has the same owners . What would be worse if they transferred the ownership for £0 as that is devaluing the club for free. If they ever come to sell the club, the club is now valued £77mill less and the company that owns the property is now valued £77 mil more.
