i used to have lessons with duck back in the 70's, at stefan grossman's house when he was living in london. the days of folks like bert jansch and ralph mctell playing at the star and garter in putney. just to name drop, one day while i was there john renbourn popped in, he was moaning that he'd had to buy a copy of one of his own records to prove to the passport office he really was a "musician". i've done some covers of both stefan and duck's stuff ->
John Renbourn says in one of his biography that he had problems proving that he was a musician. LOL. I think it happened after recording his first album. That he envies having lived those times.
