i live in sacramento, ca and bought the steg me650c11 from fred and sound. well, he doesn't really sell them. he buys them for you, i guess, and doesn't make a profit. just helping you buy them from the company. anyways, just wanted to give a little review of my experience. first off, these are not cheap speakers. pretty expensive, but as for dealing with fred and sound it was picture perfect. everything done by email and from sending payment to receiving package was 3 days from italy to california. won't be able to install for a bit so i can't give my opinion on sound quality, but i would like to thank fred and sound. what a great transaction. 3 days is insane. i can't wait to install. will be going in a 65 gt mustang with a pair of infinity kappa 12's in the trunk and the pioneer 80prs. not sure what amps yet. i have a infinity k1000 i may use for the 12's but to be honest i would like to probably go 1500 watts rms to the 12's. i have those in another vehicle right now and they sound really good with the k1000, but a little more juice would be nice. not sure if i'll run any rear fill yet, either. maybe i'll just go with the me650cii and the 12's and see how it sounds before i decide about rear fill. anyways, thanks again fred and sound. i will post here again once i install and give sq opinion.

Hi Fred, i am running the me650cii with the tweeters located in the a pillars and woofers in the door. I notice the overall sound quality is great but on certain rap/hiphop tracks the tweeters are too loud. I think the installer used the 0db setting on the passive crossover but on your video you are using +3db. Should i go for-3db because the speakers are located far away from eachother?

Hi, previously you recommended me this speakers. But I have a question: Did ever heard the Monster Turbine Pro headphones? The highs in those headphones sounds like someone throwing ground glass in your ears. Do you know any in car audio like that?

Hi Fred, how are you doing friend? It made me curious; what are the main differences between the ME650 and ME650II. Is it the tweeter, the woofer or the filter. What makes de II different in comparison to the first gen? What are for example the differences in sound? What also suprises me is that no where is written that it is the II.

Umit Bozkir hi mate, basically they produced this II line to cut of the fakes online, also, the last production as improved voice coil, 2 months later they changed the name to II, I’ll not recommend getting the regular version, unless you know it’s from real local distributor, and sure it’s the last update with the improved voice coil, thanks for watching

H i,my car is SLK r171 2005.It has a mid bass,a midrange and a tweeter on each side. The mid bass look opposite(outside) from midrange (inside). Can I put the steg speakers and which of them?? Thanks in addition.

Hi Fred, 1. Did you get a chance to test Mercury C62 ? Is it more natural sounding than ME650CII or MLK 1650.3 ? 2. I dont prefer Loud / Bright speakers ? which brand is more suited to my requirements --> Steg, Hertz, Mercury, Focal ?

Do second version speakers have to say me650cII on the back? On the me650cII box I have, it says me650c behind the speakers. But crossover is a new type.

Hej Fred ! Where i can buy, only woofer Steg me650wf ? I’m looking for a good woofer to 3way, to my door in the car - VW passat B7. I was thinking to buy an xcelsus - xxm 650. But I guess I would prefer this steg.. What do you think about it ? what woofer should buy at a price of max 350 dollars ? maybe you can recommend something else? I listen to all kinds of music. but pop music is the criterion.
