In fact, those who have advocated "Alternative" funding methods have, at the time of me suggesting doing so that . . . they would not be assisting in any capacity. Just that they needed to have a moral victory over patreon. Okay. Cool. Still, moral victories don't let me pay artists to make mad ideas real, like this here. Money does.

And I think that's probably the lesson here. Just saying. I dont like patreon any more than any of you guys, I made that statement clear on the podcast/the warhammer video/etc but some people will bitch regardless. At any rate, I'll take gold or iridium too.

Landsnekts were often low ranking nobility who, due to not being 1st or sometimes 2nd born, turn to mercenary work. the colorful, poofy clothing was not just the fashion of the time, but the bright colors denotes their status as noble as only people with money buy fancily died clothes and the puffed out exterior helps with enemy sometimes misjudge where to swing their sword. Because they were often used as shock troops, they usually get paid twice as much as a regular soldier at the time.

I wanna correct edda a bit. Landsknecht were not shocktroops, but core troops that were trained in formation fighting with use of poleaxes, biedehänder (extremely long swords that one needed an actual certification of training for which would give you dubble the pay, a so called doppelsöldner), arkebusse and crossbows. They were also not even remotely exclusively from nobility, but would instead be hired and trained from local areas. How it worked was that a Kriegsherr (essentially the guy appointed by either the emperor a town or a person of high nobility as the leader and organizer of the regiment) was named, usually someone with an already successful military career, and after he obtained the funds needed and called in Officers to lead and organize the troops, they would hand out pamphlets and would put down a date where everyone who wanted to join the regiment would undergo inspection. Landsknechts had usually rather strict inspection criteria and where expected to pay for their own equippment, though they got paid their first month of wage directly after being accepted. People with military experience or for example with a master letter for the biedehänder got payed several times the money of a normal recruit so the regiments attracted a number of mercenaries, lower nobles and soldiers with experience. Usually a Regiment was organized in groups of 400-500 people with around 100 experienced veterans leading the front. it is important to note, that Landsknechts also had their own law enforcement seperate from the rest of the army and that they got payed rather handsomely (lowest position was 4 gulden a month, which to put it into perspective, the costs for living at the time were 1-2 gulden a month. Thus it attracted a big amount of people from lower classes

Typical scouting report: A detailed list of enemy numbers, disposition, armaments, and emplacements as well as terrain features, and other considerations like presence of civilians, etc. Steiner scouting report: "Uhh, vee see a lot smoke und fire... Enemies?" * muffled screaming followed by laser and missile fire * "Nein, zere are no enemies here."

As a Capellan, I should note that this is a fairly common occurrence when Steiner forces invade Tikonov. Sometimes they rain billions of beer glasses on us from low orbit like hail. Sometimes their LB-10X Auto Cannons fire sausages in a scatter blast. Sometimes they even deploy a Trebuchet that only throws barrels of beer as counter artillery.

Lyran registered mammoth class drop ship makes emergency landing after reentry drive failure, unfortunately it hit the new statue of the Our Glorious Leader Duke Foppington. This is about all witnesses and analysis of recovered recording devices can agree upon, their seemed to be a lot of electromagnetic interference during the event. Some say the dropship was carrying an Assault Lance of Atlases, but even seismic readings don't match with that. No one, not even the battle computers of the Honor Guard, could positively identify the mechs or even if they were mechs. The few survivors talk instead of things like polka music, oktoberfest, ubermench, lederhosen, dirndl, a barmann, a dancing girl or a landsknect, which just doesn't make any sense considering the destruction at the site of the crash. In other news scientists are still trying to figure out why our natural satellite suddenly fractured. Most of it will eventually reform over the next several millennia, into a significantly smaller moon. However in the immediate future expect erratic tides and frequent meteor showers. Orbital traffic has been disrupted and several satellites and space stations have been lost, but it is calculated that safe routes can be plotted and implemented within the decade.

And that i like the fact that the Landsknecht atlas in this is a refference to german history (wich ya know is kinda the basis for house steiner) as a whole rather than the usual , although still present, lederhosen thing since thats uniquely bavarian not ''german'' as a whole (aka like reffering to something only practiced in let's say Florida as a general american thing when it isn't) . Please? *3.* Some Atlases are over-priced for the tonnage they provide: as such, we recommend switching future scout squadrons to the much more reasonably priced King Crab.

My one critique of this is the radio transmissions for Steiner Scout Squad. They are a bit garbled and quieter compared to everything else going on. I may not understand german and have to read the subtitles, but just hearing it being said really brings it all together.

Really love the traditional German outfits used for the Atlas paint schemes, and the festive music amid the chaos. Hopefully we get to see their next adventure at the end of another Tex Talks video.

If it goes fast enough I suppose it would? The main issue is speed versus size: A large object impacting needs less speed to do damage, but is harder to get going in the first place. A small object however at sufficient speeds will do the same amount of damage, but its a constant battle against wind resistance and gravitational pull. TLDR: Theoretically if you threw Governor Fatass hard enough he could break a planetoid. The problem is humans arent meant to be used as projectiles, and its gonna fall apart into millions of little chunks rather than connecting as one solid object. This is just me talking out of my ass with a a baseline competence in Newtonian physics and Ballistics, I'm no expert.
