The concept of someone spending an entire life in what is just a couple hours or minutes to you is unsettling on a visceral level. In this case it is straight up depressing.
…i have a theory,i think that while shes making this note she was *ahem* hanging herself, thats why in 2:51 you can see a line thing there, and remember, she hang herself like mr braun said
I can't imagine if my daughter or my son from the future time traveled to see me then time traveled to past and discovering that she/he died from suicide
And that’s really saying something. Gotta admit, I completely agree though. Out of all of the really difficult scenes in the story, this is always the one that sticks out to me vividly.
@@erwan3204 but i mean at least steins gate has better ending so all these tears dont go waste, your lie in april has seriously............... . . . . . .sad ending
This episode wrecked me emotionally more than any other episode of this show or 0, which is saying a lot since there are a lot of episodes that got to me emotionally. Just the double whammy of Suzuha being gone along with her tearfully written letter, especially with that final line coming off the final symbol. In the words of NakeyJakey, they sniped my butt good with that one.
Okabe finally realizes another of his hubris mistakes with Suzuha's heartwrenching situation as the Phonewave can not only change time but can potentially generate tragedies for everyone and finally goes through a lot of experiences learning from them and sacrificing many of his friend's dreams and happiness to become a competent Mad Scientist finally stopping World War III from occurring in the end and go to a more peaceful worldline named Steins;Gate!
@@alucardhellsing2912 no, first she died cuz suicide, after she time travel to 1975, there's a problem. Her time machine broke and it makes her amnesia, she only remembers it 24 years later that she is supposed to be time travelling, on 1999, she remember it, then one year later she killed herself due to guilt. She blames herself cuz if she just travels right to 1975 without stopping in 2010, the first D-mail won't got sent by Okabe that makes her time machine broke. She stops at 2010 hoping to find her father, well she met him, her father is Daru and after that she travels to 1975 has amnesia for 24 years, kill herself one year later.
Just finished this ending in the visual novel 🥲 and it is my first. The ending in this route is kind of sad and bitter sweet, but i like it very much 🥲. Its my cup of tea XD I didnt ship Suzuha and Okabe before since its weird but when theyre about to go to 1975 together, hands clasped, and decided theyre abt to rewrite the whole future(together), my heart goes AAAAAAAAA
Before this moment, Okabe made a promise to himself to destroy CERN for their many unsuccessful attempts to kill Mayuri After this letter, Okabe made a new promise to himself to destroy CERN BECAUSE NOW THEY'RE ASKING FOR IT Pleading for it. The ramifications for altering the time space continuum will be severe.
I went to the Stein's Gate Cafe in 2018 at Akihabara and the Omurice has a small bit of the letter with it. That's the most depressing Omurice I ever ate.
This scene alone proves that Tamura Yukari is really capable of voicing older characters, and she should be given more chances to voice someone that is not kid.
@@mvtchx you're talking about anime and I'm talking about the original. You can also google it by the way Kongroo or Congroo. And Russian guys like me will tell you that not all languages are translated this way
@@RK-uz5gb it never shows suzuha in flashbacks or anything like that, all you do is stare at the paper as her handwriting gets worse and worse until it trails into nothing. Then with Braun telling you that she killed herself and no one came to her funeral except for him.
@@zoklev Gone through similar things for quite a number of times. Besides, you make a great point there so it's no use making up obvious excuses. ¯\_༼ •́ ͜ʖ •̀ ༽_/¯
You're not guaranteed to have your memories back when you have amnesia. You can't just get your memories back like just boom. 24 years actually quite realistic, remembering she doesn't have anything to remember the future.
I remember finishing Steins Gate, the VN and feeling a sense of utter satisfaction. Even when I had watched the anime beforehand, the experience the VN had brought me was truly unique that could not be conveyed in the anime. The despair that Okabe felt. This one moment of Suzuha's letter and it being Okabe's fault. The false sense of security before the storm that is Mayuri's death. The wholesome conversations the characters had that I couldn't enjoy in episodes 1-6. The fact that the anime had done such an incredible job only made the VN, being better, quite astonishing. All this, is to praise Steins Gate. It being the predecessor to Steins Gate 0 only ruins the mess I experienced. I guess... to summarise my disappointment with Steins Gate 0... was that it was shit. Steam reviews said it was good. Some guy I knew told me it was good. So that was a lie.
@@ambrose7196 You are typical hater man... Firstly, you comment this below a video, which has absolutely nothing to do with Steins;Gate 0. This is not even a scene from Steins;Gate 0, so I don't really know would you express your dissatisfaction with Steins;Gate 0 here. Why didn't you do it below a video from Steins;Gate 0? Secondly, the guy just asked why you didn't like it, your answer: it's shit. This is not an answer. This is just bullshitting.
@@villadavid1997 I agree with you. I'm a cunt. I didn't really answer the question by answering the question. All I said was it was shit. And it is shit.
