With your deck in your hand it’s pretty easy to find a winning line and lab maniac is just a dead card if you aren’t comboing off. It’s also pretty easy with the card draw trigger on the stack to snipe the lab man causing us to lose the game. cEDH is all about card quality and your deck being 1% better than the next guys.
@@georgedoxtater8880 you definitely can but it’s a needless hoop. It’s also pretty mana intensive when you consider how efficient ritual into defense grid into twisted fealty is. It’s also worth noting if they counter defense grid we can still go for the win if they counter lab man our win attempt is over. I guess it’s not over you’d still draw your deck but if we can easily win with our deck in our hand without lab man why are we running lab man right? I hope this helps :)
I recently bought the precon and I admit that the potential for it to be an extremely strong deck is there! Your build is really performing but I was wondering if you will make a more budget competitive list, my playgroup and I don't play with proxed cards and clearly LED and wheel of fortune cards are not affordable. Also I admit that I also played Eris, the second commander of the deck and it's really interesting, it puts a lot of pressure on the table. What do you think about it?
Just saying but this card with make mischief and thornbite staff deals infinite damage, while traitorous greed and involuntary employment give infinite mana. Bloody betrayal gives infinite blood tokens.
@@ryanhefner2011 it should pop up in scryfall as _ goblin That being said it doesn't show rulings on it but you have a pile of sticker cards (I think 10 of them?) and reveal the top 3 at the start of the game and those are the cards you can pick stickers from. There are ones that achieve the maximum mana off of one name sticker but the clear standout one is mind for psychological damage
@ryanhefner2011 ___ goblin or mind goblin is the card. You can get the name sticker goblin card proxied but it was not printed anywhere. Name sticker goblin was a card made for mtgo since they didn't use stickers. I'd be sure to rule 0 name sticker goblin since it's only on mtgo otherwise proxy the sticker sheets and run __ goblin. I have this subbed for counterbalance in my list because the drama behind the card is something I want to avoid and it should be a mid range list
Still need some of the combo cards but I think I wanna take my Niv-Mizzet midrange deck and rebuild it around Stella Lee: sharing a lot of the ramp and interaction package that honestly is already the bulk of the rares and expensive cards to find, except now she can come down turn 2-3 on a good hand instead of 4-5 with Niv-Mizzet. Also there's some combos that kinda work for both: I do run Dualcaster Mage + Blur on the Niv-Mizzet deck to just loop draw all of the deck so this should work with Stella as well instead of Dualcaster Mage as long as she can have haste, which probably will help her get to Storm count 3 anyways.
You cast one. Hold priority, copy the spell and target stella lee. You untap her, giver her haste and most importantly a wicked role attached to her. After you let the copy resolve you tap her again to copy the original spell. You rince and repeat infinitely. The trick is the wicked role you attach to her each time. Because it's written a creature can only have one role attached to it at the same time, every time you put a new wicked role on her, the previous one is destroyed, and when a wicked role is destroyed it deals one damage to each opponent
