Alrimate There are a lot of kids of famous people, who either didn’t try to rise above the every day and those who tried (because of the entree provided by their famous parent) and they didn’t catch on. There are probably many who were above average who didn’t get a fair shot because Mom or Dad was so great. And there are those who took the entree and succeeded thereafter on their own. I put Stella McCartney in the latter category. I don’t think you can dismiss her because she lucked into having an accomplished father.

It is nice she does care about the environment, and I think she is genuine, but she had her own fashion label in 10 years! How many fashion students get their own label and shops in this time frame? You can't say she did not benefit from the name and connections. Some designers never get their own label.

OMG... STELLA.. with tears streaming down my face.. THANK YOU... for designing a post mastectomy sports bra! I am a two time breast cancer survivor and after two surgeries have never felt comfortable at the gym when working out. I did not know about your product and am ordering a sports bra today! Thank you for being so proactive in the cure for this disease!

There was no mention of Linda McCartney attending one of Stella’s firsts fashion shows when Stella designed for Chloe. That was Linda’s last public appearance which was in Paris and they left there and went to Arizona so Linda could die in one of her favorite places on earth 🌍.

The fake leather and synthetics are actually extremely bad for the environment. Ironically, the best thing for the environment would be to buy fewer clothes that are better quality and made of natural fabrics.

Loved the shout out to Tucson, I am here right now and I swear I feel the McCartney vibe in some way every day and it has been 35 years since they were in residence here. I appreciate Stella more than I can say - I recall seeing one of Linda's photos of her as a toddler and she just had this fearless, joyous expression which I instantly thought, "We will be seeing more of you and I can't wait!"

.. I noticed a George Harrison jumper, that was said to be designed by her.. the design was by someone who animated yellow submarine..she got the image rights(cuz who her father is) and put it on a jumper, and charged £500. real nepotism

Yes a wonderful designer. She is talented and so wonderful. Yes she is a shining example of showing us an ability to care . Not only is Stella great at fashion but eco friendly fabrics. Her Mother Linda would as well as Sir Paul summer proud of her. Yes remarkable making a bra for those who need them. So much admiration. Her Father is a great guy who is such a good Father to his family Yes done so good.Also I did not know she has children. Wow excellent. My admiration is ten fold for Stella. She’s beautiful and smart. My husband’s mom died with breast cancer when he was only 25. She was 43. I’m sorry she lost her mom, but I’m glad this daughter is a light bearer for her mother’s memory. There will be a grand reunion someday and we’ll have so much to catch up on! 🎈❤️

Stella, from a very young age, struck me as someone who knows exactly who she is. She’s very comfortable in her skin. All the McCartney kids seem like good, down to earth people. Pretty miraculous. Cudos to Linda and Paul as parents.

She's a great girl , as was her mum , aware of the consequences of fashion and its industry based on textiles, she has made great strides to balance her passion for design with a care for the Earth in which we all know as home . It would be helpful to reduce the price of her clothes in order that more people could share in their passion for animal free fabrics and the non use of rayon . Maybe some of the space race billionaires club could lend a hand in helping save this blue ball we all live on , before heading off to colonise Mars 🌎☮✨
