It has nothing to do with foreigners per se, just a few TRXs and Demons. However Stellantis sold most of their vehicles to bored kids at super high interest rates. 41% of all Challenger and Chargers (RTs and above) have been repoed. Stellantis then thought their trucks were luxury products, which they are not, almost double in price and they are just sitting on lots. My CDJR down the street still has brand new 2022 1500s that are suffering from lot rot that they refuse to send to auction or come off the insane prices

Let them go bankrupt. Sell off the branches ( keep, ram, dodge…..) don’t pay them for being incompetent.

Because the dummies at Stellantis stopped selling their best selling cars to go all in on EV when people are pulling away from Ev's, and they can't even get their EV to market leaving them stuck with lots full of old overpriced product that isn't selling.

They re based in the Netherlands. Only FCA is in Italy. The Italians are threatening to buy back their car brands because of Stallantis .

I agree, they are hard jobs and the employees deserve the good wages. The management on the other hand are way, way overpaid.

Yes the worker's deserved a raise but they asked for to much which is only going to raise prices. I work at a dealership and the only thing I got was higher prices less sales and more inflation to make my pay worth less. Long waits for parts to fix vehicles. Quality control dropping to save a dollar. switching parts and computer vendors to save a dollar and sacrifice Quality. Less parts made here in America.

People want regular cars. Maybe 1% want EVs, 5-10% want hybrid.

Well I've never gotten a 30% raise in 4.5 years, and few have, but you know that it was more than just that, but it's clear that to stellantis it was too much and now they're paying them back. You know what's worse than not getting a raise? Not having any job at all, which is what ended up happening. Going to war with the devil and thinking they could win was a little naive and they should've realized that Stellantis wasn't going to play fair. These big companies are going to make their money one way or another and sadly Wall Street demands that they do. They can't just say "but we had to pay our employees more", if they're expenses go up they're going to cut somewhere and/or raise prices. And stellantis already raised their prices by 50+% so now they're cutting and moving jobs out of the US. I don't like it or agree with it, but I and many knew this would happen after the last strike. You can't trust these guys and Fain should've told the workers to lower their expectations as not to end up on the other end of mass cuts. But I guess I could be wrong.

That wasn't all that was in the contract. I'm a union member and it included an immediate double digit percentage raise, a 5 figure signing bonus for the contract and probably the most significant was giving temp workers a good chunk of benefits. I was never a fan of how much the union was demanding during negotiations and while many argue that everyone deserved they really didn't. Maybe a slightly higher average raise for a few years would be more appropriate but not the craziness we got. Don't forget that's just not for current employees, thats for every new one going forward too. That is a massive cost increase and a new cost basis.

@@ocmotivator Even at the time the contract was signed autos were piling up at dealers. I'm retired UAW (supplier plants) and it was clear as day even then these layoffs were always gonna happen. You don't deal with someone like Carlos by trying to be nice. After you give him your lunch money, he'll want your coat.

@@ocmotivator First off I am a union chassis designer at Stellantis, CTC. I am in the middle of this mess my friend. It was 25% over 4.5 years. Also it has been since 2008 since we have had a salary increase raise bro. Last contract was lump sums which is a joke. If Carlos can afford 56% raise, why can't we get something after 15 yrs of not much? We are the ones who gave you the Chargers, the Hellcats and Challengers. Trust me, we want them back too!

For some reason all the manufacturers are having higher amounts of recalls. With computers and over 100 years of experience in making cars you would think problems would be almost 0.

@@jjohur damn you people are slow sometimes. I literally never took issue with smart business adjustments. But I couldn’t have been more clear that this is almost completely about a CEO making nearly 5 years of very bad decisions leading to this disaster. This is about bad leadership and not about what’s being done. I’ve also been clear that when a bad CEO continues making bad decisions and then ONLY has one solution in his arsenal then it’s time to change leaders. When I was down financially in 2007 I did cut our expenses rapidly for survival but at the same exact time I implemented smart and effective revenue generating strategies so I could climb out of the hole faster. I invested money in immediate ROI strategies and listened to the really smart people in my world on how to stem further disaster. Carlos and stellantis continues to make really bad decisions on top of bad decisions while cutting so deep that the company will never recover. You’re welcome for the free business lesson. I think it’s a great time to pit dealers against each other to get the deal with so much inventory on the market. Just hold firm on what you want to pay. 👍
