Wouldn't really call it small. They uploaded a photo of the studio and I think it was at least 50 people. Small would be the dev team from Project Wingman.
If you like walking around for ages and doing puzzles that a toddler could do, then go for it. The demo was good but the game feels like a scam, the opening is good but then there’s no real action again until the end. It looks stunningly beautiful but this ain’t no Bayonetta or Devil May Cry. The gameplay is too easy / shallow. No juggles or combos, you can play with your eyes closed.
I hope they set this game free for all consoles, I only have PS5 and switch but I feel like exclusive games need to stop and just let everyone enjoy it
Very fair and objetive review of this first attempt at console games by the developer. I still think this is one of the best hack and slash games in recent memory and can´t wait to play it.
I was really hoping they at least do some decent work with the writing and characters as they matter a lot to me in these types of games. It’s sad they stumbled on those major aspects like many other game writers do. Nonetheless I’ll give this a go sometime on a super sale maybe.
Well presented review. I was expecting a 7 (or maybe 6 if the reviewer was really harsh) after listening to the whole review. An 8 is a good surprise and makes me really anticipating playing it. I preordered it 2 weeks ago and can't wait.
The side quests are no worse than those found in ff16, or ff7 remake or nier automata. They're just pretty standard. They're just not anything special like a Witcher 3 or cyberpunk. I do like the ones in the wasteland map though ( the 2nd zone). Was fun to work my way around it doing all the objectives because the combat is so fun.
Even so, the narrative is rather disappointing. Games like GoW and Neir show you can have compelling narratives in such titles. Stellar Blade failed to with a really solid setup to do so.
@@theworld6710 GoW and Nier are action RPGs, they aren't character action, this game also is not character action. So yes the narrative is important in any RPG.
This was a 8.5-9 for me. Main criticism for me is exactly like you said, the side quests being so grouped together and then getting cut off so soon. In RPGS I can usually solder through them very easily as I usually have a lot of patience for them, but I ended up not doing a lot of them because it was several days straight of nonstop side quests and it just got unbearable. Usually I prefer to play like a day or two of side quests and then a full main story quest… you cannot do that in this game unfortunately.
8 it’s fair , from the demo the exploration and platforming felt clunky at best. Fighting was ok, though there were issues with parrying consistently or blocking, this for me is a game to wait for a sale. One thing to acknowledge though is the fact of having a demo , I wish all AAA companies would consider this approach versus the raising hype and preorder markup prices to get to play “earlier”
I've been waiting for Stellar Blade since it's first aancounce reveal over a freaking 3 years ago 2021 so I really will buy and play Stellar Blade, I'd tryed it's Demo and it's awesome, such a little bit hard game, but it dosen't matter, I really love Stellar Blade dedienitily it's characters and like the New Way where Protagonists are the Beautiful females almost like a 3D anime. With Sand Land, Stellar Blade and the Day April 26 is my the most Expected Days in 2024, because then Stellar Blade & Sand Land games will be relased and the Knuckles Spinoff Series are coming too can't wait i'm so excited! For me, Stellar Blade is a 10/10 game almost the GOTY 2024! 😍❤
This has very little in common with Bayonetta.😑 Both games have female MCs that’s it. This ain’t even a traditional action game focused on combos. It’s more Sekiro and Souls inspired, which is disappointing.😩
@@ironbran12 i too find it funny that the people who usually complain 'why is every main character a woman now' got tricked into supporting a female driven game where men are tertiary and the action star protag is a dainty woman 😂
It's been getting good reviews an 8 is good enough for me I got the digital deluxe edition & sea of thieves premium edition both games drop this week.🥂😎
8/10 is a reasonable score when looking at the game objectively. I personally enjoy it a lot (aside from Eve's gorgeous aesthetics). It just really resonates with me and is capable to immerse me in the world and narrative. The combat is fun. The Korean VA is a welcome change and fits the characters best compared to English and both Spanish VAs. Music is good too. Again, an objective 8/10 becomes a 9/10 for me the moment I am motivated to play a game these days. Many AAA games coming out nowadays that do certainly offer much more but I just am bored by them.
wow honestly I am suprised it got a fair shake from GS. But it falls into about what I figured. Its not game of the year but I think it is a soild game over all.
It's up there for me, I'm about 16 hours in. It's sitting around an 8 or a 9 for me so far but combat is only getting better. At the moment I think I'm liking it more than dragons dogma 2 but not as much as ff7 rebirth or persona 3. Interms of goty. So I thinks it's deserving of a nomination but I don't think it'll win. Definitely the best action game of the year though so far.
Stellar Blade is a stellar masterpiece! 10/10 Pros: Everthing, except for Tachy's storyline. Cons: Tachy's storyline. Tachy should have been the main protagonist, even though her hotness, would have been more distracting while playing the game.
No one will make buying decision based on pathetic reviews of mainstream media. Also written by someone else while being narrated by someone else shows lack of dedication to play game and give proper review.
This game reminds me of FF13-3. A game in a dying or dead world with a female protagonist that's supposed to save humanity with combat, that's great, but everything else is just ok or mid. Especially side quest and characters.
