How much do you focus on coding and technical elements like game balance vs coming up with new ideas and gameplay features? (Is there a bit of both as part of your job or are they separated?)

Fallen emires are a bit careless at the moment. I mean i never say, great job, or keep on, or anything like that kind of nonsense, its not a Chariot racing. But, There are never too few resources in the galaxy, they are just not available yet. So, thats that. 😛
