Stellaris | Minerals & Food From LIVESTOCK ONLY*! Full Playthrough! MAX Difficulty 

No farming Districts once food livestock is obtained as you can't start with two livestock species, only minerals from Lithoids *as the end goal* along with the little from the systems themselves so no mining districts, megastructres or stations with nebula refiners. If I do a true challenge run of this in the future I will ensure not to get minerals from the systems either. This wasn't really a challenge run so the rules were pretty loose with this all, but basically the goal was to subsist on livestock as much as possible! Sadly all of that would make a pretty terrible title so this should explain all o'that.. Hope you all enjoy the video! This is by FAR the most taxing in term of just sheer time of any of the full playthroughs I have made for the channel so hope It turned out well enough! :D

Would you think about doing a playthrough where you use the "Three crises happen simultaneously" mod?? Obviously dont set them to happen as early as you did this game (i mean maybe you can how ballsy are you feeling??) But, like something you mentioned this playthrough, while you have fleets that hard counter the crisis they are actually kinda trash as far as general ships go. If all crises happened you wouldnt be able to have "bad" ship designs but they hard counter the only threat in the game, you'd have to make "good" ships. Also the crises always seem to be a little on the weak side in these games, partially because youre way better at the game than you used to be and partially because of the hard counter. TL:DR try the all crises happen simultaneously mod! Could be cool :)

Man, I missed watching these Stellaris videos of yours, I should get back to watching them again. I remember doing all those lore comments for them and how much people liked them. Hell, it makes me tempted to ask to do a roleplay empire with someone and write a whole narrative. I think that could be rather interesting, since I always considered Stellaris to be more of a civilization RPG than a strategy game. (it's obviously a strategy game, but I just like thinking it as an RPG more)

As an alternative to thrall worlds, you can go for ecumenopolis worlds. They provide a 50% increase to pop growth speed, as good as the bonus on thrall worlds, which can be split between growing standard pops and livestock pops. You can end up with city planets that PRODUCE more food and minerals than they consume. With livestock only taking up 0.25 housing, and city planets having an abundance of housing, this is easier than you might think. And with all the clerk jobs that city planets produce, they can be energy positive too. The only things your ecumenopolis worlds will actually consume are motes, gas, and crystals.

That was a cool idea I will have to try something similar, I am doing a run with syncretic that will also have heavy robot use for double the servant base.

One of my favorite ways i used to play is a xenophobic egalitarian militarist. And only got food from live stock. I will be playing around with this.

Looking at a terravore run with the following rules: Arid homeword. Can only colonize 16+ worlds with 100% habitation. Must consume all other worlds ASAP and leave them dead. Must eat Gaia worlds (just because it's wrong).

Have you ever considered playing Stellaris with exceedingly difficult survival conditions but fairly weak mid-game and end-game crisis? It’s fun to see you struggle to survive instead of being perfectly stable just building strength hoping to beat the end game. (PS I love the content you’ve been putting out. Best of luck in your chaotic irl happenings)

For a modded playthrough, have you though about using the NCS mod? It adds a whole bunch of new ship types. Add in the Extra Ship Components mod, and ship building is on a whole other level.

An interesting playthough idea could be a one where you limit the number of systems you can own to a certain small amount and after every ~50 years the number of these "enclaves" can be increased by 1.

(L-gate dragons do not count) 5) Have ecumenopolis (not relic world) or ring world as your capital. Options: Have galaxy at least small.

You know, if you want to cheese a 10% Stability bonus from the start of your game, fire the Enforcer from day 1 (minus button on the job). Wait a couple of days until you have 22% Crime. Go to Decisions on the planet menu and select "Make Deal with Crimelords" (+10 Stability, +50% Crime). Employ the Enforcer again and you now have +10% Stability and a Crime Rate of 0. +50% of 0 = 0. So, as long as you have no Crime, the +50% Crime negative is irrelevant and you gain that sweet 10 Stability. Which is about +6% Resources Bonus on all Jobs, +6% Trade Value and +4% Immigration Pull. Before end of month. Right from the start of the game.

Doing this with Necroids will be GLORIOUS! With Genetics, of course.

One day, it would be nice if you try a playtrough with Zenith of Fallen Empire, it's a relay good mod who change a lot of things in terms of gameplay, new ships, new techs news buildings... and an ascension perk incredibly powerful! i have now played 2 playthroughs with a 0.25 multiplier for habitable worlds and i ill stick with it. noticeably less lag and micromanagement, the 2 things that realy irritate me about stellaris! ;)
