Nice driving! Way too much traffic :D but i guess thats stelvio... I went there in september and wanted to ask you if you experienced some overheating of the brakes aswell as i did?!
The Duke is much, much easier to drive. Lighter offcourse and incredibly neutral in the corners. For me this means it's more enjoyable to drive in the twisty's. It does have a bit of a loss in character in comparison to the 990. The acceleration of the Duke is more lineair in a way which makes it less exciting than the 990. In the end the 790 Duke can't beat the 'do it all' practicality of the 990 SMT but for when you are only riding on B roads and twisty's I would take the 790 everytime.
pikexking thanks for the feedback! I suppose a proper exhaust system should bring alive some of that character on the duke! I’ve been wanting an SMT for a long time now, and kind of didnt pay attention to the 790 duke because it has a smaller engine and seems a little less serious of a bike, but looking at reviews now, people seem to find it an amazing bike. Especially all the modern electronics appeal to me, whereas the smt only comes with optional ABS. Just for pure daily fun, would you take the 790 Duke over the SMT? Lastly, how does acceleration compare to the smt? I know this is much more lineair but can you feel the extra 10bhp that the smt has? Greetings from Amsterdam!
@@TheKniperlight Ik denk niet dat een uitlaat systeem echt wat aan het karakter gaat veranderen. Het zit hem echt in het blok. Voor daily fun zeker de 790. Meer gooi en smijt. Ik merk die 10pk verschil niet echt. Denk ik. De 790 is makkelijker om heel hard mee te rijden. Stuurt zo goed en icm. de QS heb je aandacht over om beter op de weg te letten. Gaat gewoon zo makkelijk. De 990 geeft wel iets meer sensatie omdat het allemaal wat meer trilt, op een andere manier door de toeren vliegt(Hij heeft een soort van powerband lijkt het), je zelf moet koppelen en meer nadenken over wat je aan het doen bent. En de 990 klinkt echt veel beter. Ik rij met akra slip on en DB killers. Gewoon beide proefrijden is de enige oplossing ;)

@@pikexking is die 790 technisch een beetje betrouwbaar? Nou ben ik een simpele honda rijder maar laatste tijd kijk ik wel vaak naar ktm’s😏 alleen heb ik geen zin om hem om de 6 maanden service te geven.
