@@MarcMatthewsProducer just when I thought I was in a clear. I want to logic info and I'm unable to switch to Rosetta. When I open logic pro app info underneath general it says kind: Application (universal). There's no option below that will allow me to switch between universal or Rosetta. Do I have to down load rosetta, and where can I find it. I am using a 2020 iMac 27 inch macOS Sonoma 14.4.1. Thank you for your time and patience
Hmmm, that's frustrating. Have you got an Intel or Apple Silicon Mac? You don't need Rosetta to use Stem Splitter, in fact, it's the opposite. Rosetta is an application that you don't interact with but supports applications designed for Intel Macs being used on Apple Silicon devices - it runs in the background. @@alecwolfe3252 ah yes, that's the issue. Unfortunately, Stem Splitter is only compatible with Apple Silicon devices and not Intel 😕also, Intel devices don't need Rosetta as it (Rosetta) is a background app that supports Intel designed applications running on Apple Silicon devices.
Yeah, the problem is I have to use Rosetta for some various necessary plugins. So I use either my plugins or the stem splitter. That's not good, Apple.
I'm in the same position. At the moment, the only workflow I can see, is to perform stem splitting, close the project, enable Rosetta, and re-open the project. Not ideal and you say but still a great feature.

I have a MacBook Pro with the Sonoma update. I updated logic and when clicking get info on the logic app I don't have the option to open using Rosetta. Can't figure it out.

Of course. You don't need Rosetta for Stem Splitter, and this is only relative to Apple Silicon devices. A couple of questions: 1) Is your device an Apple Silicon device? 2) Have you upgraded to Logic Pro 11? Rosetta isn't required for Stem Splitter and it is an Apple Silicon specific application - it doesn't work with Intel Macs. Also, Stem Splitter is only available on Apple Silicon devices. Unfortunately, it's not going to work on your Intel device.
Have you got an Intel or M1 (or higher) chip Mac device? I'm going to hazard a guess that you have an Intel Mac. Unfortunately, Stem Splitter is only compatible with M1 (or higher) chip devices.

@@MarcMatthewsProducer I wonder if it is available when only installing the smallest pack and not the full 70gb installation? I also dont have it under functions and on M1 and no rosetta active. Bummer.
@@mimamakim how odd, I downloaded the full update and associated packs. Have you tried uninstalling Logic Pro it in its entirety and then reinstalling Logic Pro 11?
