In northwest Arizona that is all that I do in terms of prospecting or mining. I just treat the dust and dirt underneath the old tailing piles or milling piles which have been naturally leaching since WW2 and earlier. The rain, sun, wind, natural elements have broken and grinded so much up. I only work the micro gold, the tiny micro specks which everyone ignores and have no clue how to address. Another mistake is people are hunting for shiny yellowish pieces of metal but none of that exist where I'm at, here because of the iron and sulfides etc the gold is dark brown and black until we process it and refine it
