Love the new series Dave. Since you have a 3D printer why not try making stencils for the sections you have to reference off a new charger or challenger. Throw them on your website and people who don't have the vehicle to reference could buy the stencil from you and reference that.
I've been modifying, racing, building cars since I was a teenager. 20 years later I had Magnum and was inspired by the original 392 build. The videos have been invaluable as I learned new things and or tapped into skills I have used in a while. I also appreciate the responses to questions on the gram. Took my 392 out for a test and I'm very close. I've started my channel to also share the knowledge.

@@00duce84its a 6.4L going into a AWD 2014 Dodge charger i was told i need to rethread new holes but how would i go about doing that under the car frame
This is very interesting seeing the modifications needed for the swap. Not that I would ever be doing anything like this myself, as I'm in Australia, but seeing how you do everything is going to make a really good series for anyone who might be going to do it. I did an upgrade to my 1982 Mitsubishi L300 van, swapping the old 1.6 litre engine and 4 speed column shift transmission over to a later 2.0 litre engine and 5 speed floor shift transmission. It made a huge difference to the old van.
I have no clue how I’m going to be able to afford to do this, but My magnum is sitting outside my apartment after several bad attempts and thousands of wasted dollars just trying to find somebody to get my regular ol’hemi going now it’s just rotten away in hopes that I can one day because I can’t let it go. Especially after following this guy.
Have you considered making/selling a kit with the templates and the odds and ends needed. This way if the wrecked donor car has damage its all covered.
Awesome intro to a really cool series. One that would help out some if us would be if you had a way to sell or make available via downloads a copy of the templates for rhose of us who dont have access to a challenger. Just a thought. I am thinking about adding an oil cooler to my wifes srt8 magnum because of this video, thanks! Keep up the solid work and awesome videos.
I really appreciate this informational videos you’re gifted. I just have one question, I’m having a hard time getting the charcoal canister mounted. Can you do a video on how you did it.? Or maybe a reel on instagram.?
Had a question just picked up a wrecked hellcat challenger but since I’m going to put it in a Chrysler which is four doors could I get away with using a hellcat charger harness instead and would there be anything else about the wiring please and thank you
Trying to find out do I use the same brake booster cause the other one done work with the holes also the 4 brake house don’t fit the for holes for he shifter not lining up do I change the door wiring and put it in the doors on the magnum

I can’t find a 2017 scat pack body harness anywhere do I need to have same year body harness as the motor & trans ? Or can I use hellcat & just not be able to use all options ?
#dave Do you know where a person can find a Magnum SRT8 or R/T . Here in Missouri I have looked I haven't had any luck. I found a 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8 with 15,000 miles the price was crazy they was asking 40k. I have owned 4 Magnums . 2 R/Ts an 2 SRT8s. I wish I could find one. If you have any ideas where there is one would like to know if you don't mind.
@@Junkyard_Dave How much do you think a 300(2011+) scat swap would cost? I see Engine+Trans for $7-8k(including wiring harness, pedals and the Ecu). Front cradle with suspension for $1.5k, rear cradle with suspension for $2k. I would have to find a donor body(I have no clue how much that would cost), and I'll have to find a scat pack interior (seats, steering wheel, center console, and dash) . I think finding the interior will be pretty easy since I live in Detroit, I'll just go to the junk yard. I'm 18 going on 19 in a couple of months and I really want to do a swap myself. I'm just seeing if the price is realistic, I'm guessing it'll cost around $25-30k once it's all finished
1:19 "newer magnum i built" will confuse new subscribers. 😊 they'll think you front clipped a Magnum and not jedi master the whole build with building off a charger
