Holy shit man, I had a bug on my overlay that was causing everything to read over 429 million after the 546.33 update. This video helped that, in addition to anyone else reading this; after you uninstall the Nvidia things, DELETE Nvidia Corp folders from all your disks. These two combined fixed my issues and cleared around 25GBs of old driver updates.
@deluxe3068 everyone's issues can be different, there are a lot of reasons you might need to do a full uninstall and install of drivers. But if you share the details of your issues, I might be able to help.
@@KlestonD so i use my computer to play games and i play league of legends (yea yea ik ik) but whenever i get into a game, lets say i have a youtube video on or just discord open on my second monitor whenever i get into game my second monitor like closes all its tabs and wont open back up unless i alt tab
@@DeluxeBTY There's nothing wrong with playing League, I still play it. Ignore toxic naysayers. Anyways, that's an interesting issue. So it closes other windows, or just minimizes them? Do you have something like Facecheck installed? I do use Facecheck and it sort of locks itself to the foreground and I can't see other stuff unless I Alt-Tab and minimize it. What you're describing though is not a graphics driver issue, it's some other software that is overriding screen controls.
After getting rid of Armoury Crate on my asus laptop and setting up Ghelper instead, my brightness wouldn't adjust. Visually, it would show that the brightness level was changing as I adjusted it, but it made no actual changes to the brightness. When I followed the steps in your video, I managed to overcome that problem. The clean reinstall of my Nvidia drivers solved the issue, and now my brightness can be adjusted again. Appreciate you for saving my eye sight from constantly looking at the awful bright screen
Video fixed my GPU. I had just upgraded from a 4060ti to 4080 super and had low gpu usage and now it’s at 46 cpu 76 gpu thank you! It runs smooth now no tearing
i was having trouble queuing into Valorant matches. Someone on reddit suggested I try to uninstall and reinstall my drivers. This worked! Thank you so much🎉
Honestly, for the first time I would like to thank someone for helping me out because this is the only person that has actually helped me. I appreciate you man. Giving you a sub
@RonnieRukusTV in most cases those will work fine. I'm just someone with a couple of decades of experience in various tech roles and industries so I tend to prefer a little more hands on methods.
@@KlestonD thanks for your help, the video got the wheels in my head turning. Like creating my own recipe from several others, I ended up using bits and pieces from this video and others to get it done.
@@RonnieRukusTV Glad it was of some help. Yeah often with tech, there is no one size fits all solution, and you have to do a mix of things to get the right result.
One question though..., If I don't uninstall the previous older drivers manually and just installs the latest drivers using GeForce Experience, will GeForce Experience uninstall the older drivers automatically??
@Angel_of_Peace_93 Typically it does uninstall old drivers and remove obsolete registry entries, but as every end user system is different depending upon what they install, where, how, and even what their username(s) are, uninstallation software can sometimes miss entries. But in general, a manual process like I've shown is not necessary unless you are experiencing errors with the install of updated drivers, but even then this manual process may not be the true solution you need. So if you're having issues and getting errors, it's best to search for solutions based on those errors, or ask someone like me for a bit of help and advice.
Hmm does GeForce Experience give you any kind of error when you try to open it? Also if you were in the process of updating your driver, sometimes it can take a bit and you just need to let it sit and finish.
@@KlestonD It does for me, when I attempted opening it, it said it detected no compatible NVIDIA drivers. In response I went to the NVIDIA webstie and tried installing my driver but it gave me the error that it also couldn't detect my graphics card. I'm at a loss. I know I have it in my pc.
would this help fix issues with the game overlay feature nvidia offers? It says I have no available filters when I try to add them in game (when I know I have over 50)
What? Money? I'll take money! Haha No really, I get it. PC's are expensive, especially graphics cards. Gotta do what we can to keep them running and save.
@conorscorner8108 possibly but not likely. If you have your phone ready when you get the BSOD, take a picture of the error, then Google it. That will tell you what the issue is.
I followed your steps but I may have only uninstalled 5 of the 7 nvidia programs, when I tried to reinstall control panel it said it wasnt compatible with my current driver. Is that a problem?
i accidentally only uninstalled the graphics driver in installed apps, do i still have to do the same whole process you did or just update in geforce to automatically get the newest one?
Thanks. Had to do system recovery. Don't know why but my pc wouldn't leave the loading screen after putting in my pin. Just perpetually spinning. After doing that had to reinstall alot of crap. This included 😅
everyone i see says to use DDU, i used it and it never fixed my problem. I contacted nvidia and they said you use there nvidia repair tool, which cleans and wipes everything, then they gave me a link to dowload what i assume, is their latest new drivers. Would you recommend doing this all manually, or do it the way the nvdia agent said?
I have a RTX 3050 and i see that people say CS2 should be good on higher settings, mine for some reason started dropping fps after 5,6 months after it ran normaly on the recommended settings now i'm gonna check if it was a problem from the drivers if it's not is it possible that my video card overheated and now it will permanently not function normaly ?
Yes it's possible heat damaged it, but I'd install something like MSI Afterburner to check how it's performing, see if you have a heat buildup. Also if you have it overclocking, that will cause heat buildup and crash/fps loss
Nope, this is a process for troubleshooting, and it's more of a last ditch effort to resolve driver issues. In general, the NVIDIA installer will handle things for you without issue.
@@KlestonD okay. I’ve already got my GeForce experience installed bc I have the 1660 super, with installing the 3060 is that just plug and play and GeForce experience will take care of the drivers for me?
I've tried it already but it didn't work. I uninstalling my nvdia GeForce gtx 1650 bfore reinstall,,.but why do i can't install it again? It said " Nvidia installer cannot continue, no Nvidia gpu is detected on your system. This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware"Could you help me please?😢😢
when i try to install the nvidia contorl panel after i delete all the drivers it tells me that i dont have the correct drivers to install it. Shoukd i install the drivers first then the control panel????
Your specific graphics card and your version of windows determines what you can install. Check the Nvidia website to see what specifically you need or post the information and I can let you know.
reply ASAP as I'm getting the card in 20 mnutes. And, do I have to do all that if I have the Nvidia Gefore APP experince on my computer now. Not a time to cut corners for new un and reinstallers.
Hallo. I have a problem with my Geforce experience. There's this new update for my driver that won't install. I've tried multiple times over the pass few days (both express and custom), but to no avail. I really want to find a solution to this so I can open my damn nvidia control panel. Not sure if this is related to an outdated driver, but I can't even open the home tab or settings in my Gforce for some reason.
i have a problem so i factory resetted my pc because my computer was hacked but now i dont have geforce experience and when i try to install it the installer doesnt open please help and also epic games wont install or unintsall it says the process has ended prematurley and i watch tutorial after tutorial and it wont fix i eve factory resseted again and now my roblox on opens as a backround process and i have to end the proccess and restart my pc then quickly open roblox for it to open and when it closes i cannot open it again please atleast help me with the geforce experience
First try a thorough virus scanning. If that doesn't help, you may need to do an OS reinstall. And if that isn't enough, then there is likely other issues on your drive and in core system files. Without very specific error messages it'll be hard to isolate and resolve various issues you encounter.
cant even delete all of them, nothing happends when i try to unistall "GRAPHICDRIVER", "AUDIODRIVER" and "USBC DRIVER" so basically i could go thru it all and a hard reset. Worked uninstalling frameview, geforce exp, PhysX and control panel but rest of them nothing happend after pressing uninstall...
How many NVDIA's will be installed after reinstalling? I followed the steps using nvidia geforce experience and I only got 3 the control panel, Frameview, and Geforce Experience
if you accidently uninstalled it first step go to setting check for update it would automatically installed the required nvidia drivers like nvidia dispaly then download the geforce experience run the setup the install the game / studio ready driver. done all the drivers are back. i tried and worked
I wasn’t able to uninstall the drivers so I tried going into safe mode to do it and it’s still not working, any idea what to do? nvidia tells me windows task scheduler needs to be running but that program can’t run in safe mode. what a nightmare lol
Hi! Nice video! I really need your help. My Acer laptop nvidia geforce gtx 1050 driver won't install after the old version crashed. I've downloaded the latest version from the nvidia website and installed is but the laptop doesn't detect it. It won't let me connect to an external monitor and won't let me play games. I've used ddu to uninstall all drivers and install latest driver but it is still the same result. Pls does anyone have any solutions?
@titaniahq1959 Thos one sounds tough, but should be solvable. Can you tell me what error messages and codes you get? Be warned, your card may be damaged and you might have to replace it, but hopefully we can solve the issue
@@KlestonD Thank you for the reply. I get the error code 43 with the red exclamation on the driver, I usually use an external monitor with my laptop but when the driver crashes It doesn't connect to it anymore. What I find strange is that this crash always happen every new month and especially when I'm connected to the internet. Usually using ddu and downloading a new driver fixes it but now it won't accept it
@@KlestonD also when I install the driver it says it has been installed successfully and the exclamation on the driver disappears in the device manager but when I restart the laptop the error code 43 reappears
@titaniahq1959 Alright, I'm not certain this will work but it certainly won't hurt anything. Give this a shot and see if it helps. 1). Go to BIOS page 2). Unplug everything from your laptop including power adopter. 3). Then press and hold power button (this will turn off your laptop) continue holding power button for about 2 minutes. 4). After that plug the power adapter again and boot the laptop. Some laptops also have a small pinhole on the bottom. If those steps above don't work, then have your laptop unplugged and turned off, find that pinhole, and put a small pin (paperclip or similar) end into the hole, hold it for at least 7 seconds, then pull it out and turn the computer on. What both of these methods do is basically wipes the power/static from your board. Sometimes power can be stored in odd places resulting in data not being stored/passed correctly. Boards are full of conductive metals, so it's a common issue, which typically a normal reboot handles but sometimes it just needs that extra bit.
Does anyone else have hit reg problems in fps games when updating their drivers. Some updates fix them then I start feeling no hit reg on new updates kinda annoying
Did it give you an error? The control panel can only be downloaded through Microsoft. You might be able to download it through their website id the store just isn't working for you.
there not uninstalling , when i click it it doesn't do anything im just trying uninstall everything and reinstall everything so my game play woont b bad
hey im having a problem right now a. i accidentaly unninstalled my nvidia control panel instead of the geforce one. I tried to install nvidia control panel in my microsoft store but it wont let me because i dont have nvidia in my systems can someone help me?
So this is a guess since I don't know anything about the specs of your system, but it seems like you may be running on a laptop and have whisper mode enabled. There should be a toggle for it inside GeForce Experience.
I did change some setting on nvidia control setting . After that when ever i turn on computer two times blink the display .? Is it because of i change setting of control panel ? Please help me
forgive the ignorance, but i have a 13700f, no integrated graphics, what happens when i uninstall the nvidia drivers? will i be albe to see anything to continue?
Your system will revert to OS based drivers. They are very limited and often a constrained screen size (800×600) but it's enough for you to still access and manage your machine while you get your graphics drivers installed. You likely have seen it happen during a normal graphics driver update, where you screen looks weird and icons are oversized.
I'm only getting 30 fps on sottr and metro exodus I'm getting 3fps. rtx 3060 ti. I9 9900k 16gb ram. I previously had a 1050 ti and thought I didn't have to uninstall old drivers if its an nvidea card. Would uninstalling and reinstalling still work?
Typically you don't have to uninstall old drivers. If your fps is that low, you may want to install something like MSI Afterburner to see how your hardware is performing in those games. You could find something else is the bottleneck. Also try closing out other applications, as they use up system resources that games need. Wiping out drivers might help but I'm thinking not. And monitor heat. If your system runs hot, clean it out, consider applying new thermal, updating or improving cooling methods, and don't place it in an enclosed area.
@MacH I'm one of the lucky ones in that the games performance and this issue got better for me with updates. So as of this date, I am running on 528.49 released on 2/8/23
@tahn_n @jorian10 make sure you have all aspects of the Nvidia drivers installed. If you do and are still having this issue, reach out to me on my discord server tomorrow and I'll see if I can help.

Hey man I'm having trouble with my rog strix 3090 and thinking of doing this to try to fix it but had a question, hopefully you can help me. I used gpu tweak 3 to try and overclock my gpu for the first time. I didn't do a custom curve all I did was click the OC preset tab at the top. increasing power from 100% to 105% and boost clock from 1860mhz to 1890mhz. Afterwards anytime I play a game its like my screen is flickering. Not completely back or shutting down, but more like the screen light is flickering to dim then bright (best way I can explain). Card still working and no performance issues but the light just keep flickering. After I set the ratings back to default and I even uninstalled the software. But the problem is still happening. Mind you just the day before I was playing starfield and apex max settings no problem. Now this happens. I dont think I ruined my gpu (I hope I didnt) cause everything still works. Ever experienced this or heard of the problem and know a fix? I've been on every forum and am running out of solutions.
@eatmywasabi9536 So, possible few issues and things to check. 1 - Make sure your monitor itself isn't going out. 2 - Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Those are two of the most common causes. I'd also recommend either doing a system restore to a point before you OC'd your graphics card, or yes a full wipe and reinstall of the drivers might work. Also, it's best to test out OC's incrementally instead of just doing a general one click recommended. This is because each card can have it's own flaws from the production process which will affect it's performance. They operate within a range of parameters instead of at a 100% guaranteed exact number. Usually it's so miniscule of a difference you can't tell, until you start overclocking it, then you will find you can get slightly different results than others. It may only be a 1% or less difference, but that difference could mean the death or life of your hardware. In this case though, I don't think your overclocking is the cause of the problem, but it may have been a trigger: ie sending too much power to an older monitor through the data cable, or hitting an error in the driver code from older drivers that weren't properly removed by the updater etc. It also wouldn't hurt to update your motherboard BIOS if it's not up to date.
Same problem but I didnt even overclocked but when i use power adopter and gaming the problem arises but when on battery or power adopter but not gaming everything is okay
I got a pre built before rtx 3060 and all my games crash idk what it is but either they crash right away or after just a few minutes sometimes I can’t even get into a game idk what to do should I factory reset the computer and download everything someone please help
Question, i've been using my nitro 5 laptop for nearly 8 months Just today ive started to experience lots of low performance, I tried to make the game use my gpu. Tried by using graphics and that nvidia control panel app. still the game was running pretty slow (before the game was so fast. It was so smooth, for noe it runs at 40 fps) Will this fix my issue or do u believe my gpu is dust builtup? or possibly teared (i hope not)
@insidesliderr9854 Yeah, sorry for the late response, but anyways I'm sure you've found a fix. If not, you'll just have to disable then re-enable your gpu using drvice manager, I've noticed my laptop had locked performance where my volts didn't go above 20, same goes for mAh, I've then tried the method of restarting the gpu graphic card using device manager. can say it worked for me
You could try doing a system restore, or just download the drivers and attempt an installation. If neither work, use one of the available tools to uninstall the drivers then you should be able to complete your installation

I have a laptop with a 13900hx and a rtx 4080. got the notification that there's a new graphics driver. now remember before all this my laptop used to be a beast and play all the games smoothly. after I tried doing the drivers update it said HD Audio Driver Failed. not sure what that is. then after it failed I told myself I will update at home (was in school during the time) so I tried shutting off the computer and it took 3 minutes straight on the shutting off screen and then just blue screened on me. So this must be a Nvidia Drivers problem. Now all my games run really bad and stutters. I might need to reinstall my drivers. how do I see what the blue screen was for?
So you can check your errors in the Windows Error Logs learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/system-management-components/windows-error-reporting-diagnostics-enablement-guidance Hope this helps!

If you are referring to when large sections of walls or buildings go neon, no, that indicates a texture issue or overheating. In which case try updating your graphics drivers, clearing your games texture cache, and ensuring your machine has proper cooling.
Of the 8 apps you showed at 0:32 I think I accident deleted the bottom two(system software and usbc driver) is there any way I can get just those two back
@@KlestonDthanks for the help! Other that the broadcast one, I have all the ones you do. My games were running fine expect for one random crash. Also my fan is running loud but it’s a new computer so that might be normal for it. Thank you
@Corn if your fan is loud then it's probably at max speed. Tons of potential apps can change and control fan speed. But if it's running cool, a little noise could be worth it. If it's loud AND hot, then you've got an issue. Could be lacking thermal paste depending on which fan it is, could be a bad fan, or could be poor circulation.

@Yush03 oof man, you might have downloaded an amd graphics driver. Ok you I would recommend installing the display driver Uninstaller from wagnardsoft. Use it to uninstall every amd or Nvidia display drivers it finds, then download and reinstall the Nvidia drivers for your card.
@vincentdeluca4485 The nvidia installler doesn't detect your 4070? Does it give you any specific error message? Also make sure you have your 4070 properly connected to your PSU. If it's not getting enough power, it will fail to be recognized by the system properly.
That's definitely windows issues. Run antivirus scans, and also run various windows troubleshooters. They might fix things, if not, you may have to get a bit more in depth on your repairs of whatever the issue is. (Like running "sfc /scannow" from the command prompt, or more.)
When I try to download the Nvidia control panel from the Microsoft store it says “Nvidia not detected” and doesn’t allow me to install it. Anyone have any ideas what to do about this?
Geforce dosent find my gpu and gives me an error code, I tried to remove unused graphics drivers but I uninstalled my graphic driver, I dont really know what to do.
Check that the card is seated properly and all cables are connected to it, the motherboard and the power supply. Also ensure your power supply is capable of powering the graphics card.
when i try to install GeForce experience it says Your system configuration is not supported by this installer. A list of supported hardware and OS can be found here
If you're using an Nvidia, try downloading the driver from here by selecting the appropriate card and OS, or you can use their automated tool. www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/
