I remember years ago a guy showed a way to piggy back the ce2 fuse box off the ce1 but it was just to power the engine harness. It was on vwvortex. Was way easier than rewiring the entire car. But I did swap the entire harness for my vr6 swap back in 2006. Fastglia2 on vortex.

Mk4 fuel pump in a MK3 tank works well also. You need to remove the plastic mount on the bottom of the tank first.

i was thinking of putting a BAM 1.8t in a mk2 golf.. could i use the entire sub frame/gearbox/driveshafts/breaks/disks for a seat leon mk1 cupra R? (Basically taking everything off a Seat Leon mk1 cupra R) and using all of that for the conversion ?

How similar should this be to swapping the same motor into a g60 corrado, I have the motor and almost all the parts needed just need wiring and Down pipe I think, I’m trying to do it during my 2 week winter break from school this winter Thanks

Should be the same. You might have a lot more wiring to pull out. Corrado’s have a lot of electronics

Goodstuff 👍 for dub members . Just gotta buy up all mk2 now. And rebuild n reintroduce them as new mk2 with 1.8t. Sell them all day for 25k . Kinda like what they did with Delorans or Mark worman at GYC.. Hmmmm Alright i can day dream 😀😌

Neal M only the Mk3 a-arms. That’s why I use mk2. Yes mk3 5 lug. But you can drill 4 lug to 5 really easy.

Your syncro box will line up but im not sure how much abuse it will take, might be much better option to pull one from a 4motion Mk4 Golf as its designed for the job and should fit with standard MK3 box mounts.

I couldn’t find Information on it anywhere and I didn’t want to take my whole dash out, ac box and have no heat. So for now I’m just leaving the ac box in. Everything fits it’s just way nicer having a smaller box in.

Yes you can use pedals, crossmember and brake booster bracket from that car. Look up the part number for the motor bracket mounts I used. See if they are the same on that car.

Question, im about to buy a 2004 beetle with the 1.8t, it should be an awp right? Also, is the corrado g60 trans the same as a mk3 vr6? 02a right?

I wouldn't buy a beetle engine. Theirs one guy having a rough time swapping it. Beetle 1.8ts have stuff different on them. Stick with mk4 jetta or golf. No trans are completely different. Just get a mk4 jetta or golf for a parts car. Use 1.8t engine and o2j trans. Make it a lot easier

TheBussify because the mk4 gear set for the 1.8t is designed for 17 to 18” wheels with a 3.82 r&p versus the Corrado set up with 15” wheels and a 3.68 r&p the mk4 gear setup will have you high revving on the freeway going 70mph
