fantastic tutorial, i've been trying to figure out for ages how to upload a pattern and always got confused by the fact that i couldn't add the pdf of it without publishing it first lol. Thanks fr uploading this :-)
Pam, thank you sooo much for this tutorial! I was able to set up my Ravelry account and uploaded my first designed pattern. I am still a long way to selling anything in Ravelry, but it is a start! I appreciate you and the efforts you do to help newbies like me!
This video is so helpful. Now I need to know how to edit a previously published pattern on Ravelry? I've been told about errata and want to update the pattern and inform previous purchasers of the changes.
Hello! I've been struggling with adding an e-book to Ravelry. Would you be so kind as to create a video on how to create an e-book with multiple patterns?
Thanks for the video! Quick question: down at the bottom it says something about configuring the store for use of the add to cart button. Do I need to do anything with that? Thanks!
Hi Gabrielle, Unfortunately, Ravelry doesn't give us the ability to delete patterns. Instead, you'll need to retire the pattern. It will remain in your shop but no one will be able to purchase it. The other option would be to edit the duplicate pattern with the info and details of the next pattern that you launch so it is no longer a duplicate.
I must have done something wrong in my listing. I was not given the chance to add a PDF or activate my pattern. Is this because I said I published it elsewhere and added a site? Is there a way to add the PDF after publishing?
Hi, Yes, you can add the pattern to your store after publishing and those other factors shouldn't cause an issue. Simply click on "Pro" and "Manage Store". In the top left corner, there will be a dropdown that says "Add Pattern to Store". Click on the dropdown and select the name of your pattern. This will take you to a screen where you can upload your PDF. Hope that helps!
@@thecrochetpreneur Thanks so much! Unfortunately adding my pattern did not give me Pro status. I have sent a message in their HELP as I cannot find any information on how to turn my account Pro on my own.
@@lucindaarmstrong7750 Oh no. OK, I did some research and this article might help: www.ravelry.com/wiki/pages/RavelryPatternStore?check_links=true#h2-2
@@thecrochetpreneur Thanks again. I was able to go under "Your designs" and figure out how to finish configuring my store. I did not remember that I had not done all of it. I now have Pro status and will figure out the rest. Thanks for your quick customer service! Much faster than Ravelry's! 😉
