Oh wow, nice. I was planning out my driveway too. I planned to do it section by section though. I like that design but maybe put in 3/4 stones instead.

@@law35penn here in the south of Florida most cities require 4 inch minimum, some 6.

Xcellent job. What is the height of pavers for driveway? Should them be reinforced? Just for a car passing..

Thanks al kapone, here in Miami is recommended no less than 4 inch and 6 on the Aprons, and we also reinforce it with fibers, some customers like mesh on plain slabs. Thanks for stopping by subscribe if you like for more content.

hello there thanks for the feedback, as long as is well prepared and reinforced with steel fibers you should be fine, it actually last longer as it’s all separated slabs

Very nice! Is that a clear seal finish and if so what type / brand please ? And I’m curious on how you attached the turf being that it looks like concrete in middle ?

Thanks! yes thats clear mix with silver release powder to give it a touch both from Super Stone. The turf on top of sand we made a base of sand-mix to glue the turf.

hi thanks, it all depends on the size of the area you’re working on, for example a 20 feet wide you divide it by 3 and that’ll give you the measurements you need

Can this be done on an existing concrete driveway by sawcutting with a concrete saw? Or is that way too much?

in this case we used a anti slippery sand to add grip, added to the sealant

my apologies, right after the cement it’s a simple step there’s a turf adhesive the green one preferred is applied to it let it rest for about 7 minutes and install the turf strips, after 15 more minutes give press to it and let it dry for 24 hours, I will add it on the descriptions, thanks for stopping by

hello thanks for stopping by, the easiest way I do it is turned upside down and place a 2 x 4 right in between of the sewed line of my desire and use a sharp sheetrock knife

Are the concrete sections joined together? To ensure they don't move?

They’re separated but won’t move as they are slabs with an average weight of 4000 to 5000 pounds each, and the joints have also about an inch of sand-mix that will also give it more strength.

What's the drainage like for turf driveways?

it’s basically the same as a regular driveway, it drains through the sides. Unless the turf is installed on top of sand, and you’ll have more drainage though the lines.

The surf of the concrete looks white. How did you make it white and how do you ensure it stays that white for good?

It usually whiter when I use the grinder, but the mix itself get white after it dries completely

I don’t see a rebar? I’m building a driveway at my place, we laid rebar & the plan is to cover it with around 2 1/2 inches of concrete. On your clip the spacers touch the ground creating individual pieces but no rebar to connect the entire driveway.

Hello that is correct, here in Miami is ok to use fiber reinforced concrete in replacement to the rebar, is basically a customer choice, I’m sure is different on other places

Bricks, exposed aggregate, another colour cement, actual grass, different types of rocks, choices are many.

Dee Moe They can be casted in place with concrete. Sealing, say with an acrylic won't really hold them in. But nothing wrong with just leaving the stones in the groves. Just has to be deeper than in the video. No need for the concrete "infill" they did.

hello Sergio thanks for the feedback appreciate you for stopping by, if you’re doing stripes in this case is 4.5 inch wide which the tires of the vehicles won’t pass directly to it and it also about 1/2 an inch under so basically will be only the tipa of the turf where the tires pass. I will be posting a video soon that will show better the grass process. We get them at a green label supply the ones they make for driveway decoration

Hi thanks for stopping by, no we have used Concrete reinforced with fiber, Fiber-reinforced concrete is concrete containing fibrous material which increases its structural integrity. It contains short discrete fibers that are uniformly distributed and randomly oriented.

a common ratio is between 0.5% to 2% fibers by volume of concrete. It all depends on what a project requires

The codes here is percentage in total area for example 40 concrete 60 grass, here as the stripes are decoration the percentages are taken as the measurements of the driveway itself, this could have been a plain concrete driveway and still be on code. Thanks for stopping by.

Wow, nice job. Not what they did on my driveway for 7k, they didn't grind nor seal the cement, and in less than two month the grass is peeling if the cement. Next time I will take my time to do a research before investing.
