Thanks for this very helpful video!!! Only difference for me with the exact same controller at 10:05 - when I pushed and held in the button, then plugged the power back in/on, the controller said "rSet" for reset but never switched while I was pushing the button to "365." I continued to hold in the button for well over that five seconds you recommended, then once I released it, that's when the display switched to reading "365." So all good now, and thanks again!
Hey Gary great video! I just bought a house that uses a well and I have the ATS system in my basement. Has a uv bulb with like 5 different small to large filters. I was not told how to change/ clean the system and mine kept on beeping for a long time and I had no idea why. I looked up and got myself the bulb then watched this video… I know how to go back to Amazon and get a sleeve and all new filters. It never ends. Lol
Hello Mr Gary. Thank you for your last comment and video. I asked the initial question about about the sediment filter because everytime it rains a lot the water in my house becomes discolored. I have to run it for 15 minutes at a time for two or three days until it clears up. That is why I asked about sediment filter. I have the two tanks and the UV filter then the salt container.
VH410 Just replace sleeve and uv light watching the video ( well done) and cannot reset the unit. I get the long beep, see “reset” but not the 365”. I still tried holding long enough many times after I see the reset but it keeps beeping? The365 does not appear Jean
I come back to this video every summer to replace my uv light. This year however i can't seem to reset my counter. It only cycles between the 2 days left on the previous lamp and the total days used, holding it down for a minute and no reset
Hello I watched your video and was wondering if the UV light does the same as a sediment filter. My well does not have a filter hooked to the line but it does have a UV light. All of this is new to me as a new home owner. Thank you so much for your help. Ms Smith
No it does not. The sediment filter removes dirt, the UV light kills bacteria. This video might help ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7yXNY6gbdws.htmlsi=59hm9S7lIhcFpoIt
Hi Gary. I inserted the uv bulb without the sleeve in place and plugged it in for 10 minutes. The water leaked out over the electrical connection for the system. My plumber who installed it told me I just had to install the light. I did not know about the sleeve. Is my machine ruined now or just the bulb or did I get lucky and I just have to let everything dry out? Fingers and toes crossed. Thanks
You will need to remove the system from the wall and move it around to try to pull or flush out the remnants. If you still can't get all the debris out, you'll need to replace it. we have them here waterestore.com/collections/ultra-violet-water-treatment-systems?pf_pt_product_type=System
Excellent and informative video, thanks. I have sent you an email asking if you can supply replacement bulbs and tubes for my generic system that has no obvious model number stickers on it. Hope you can help.
Well after all that I burnt it right away. How do you know which way to plug it in?? It only goes in 2 ways and whichever way I chose burnt it. Ordered 2 more and will try again and cross my fingers.
Something is seriously wrong if the lamp burnt. Likley you need a new ballast. You can email us your model number and we can quote you on a new one. info@waterestore.com
Filters need to be replaced once a year or if they become clogged and slow down your water flow. Thsi video shows you how to disinfect ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cQyNRu5LqOM.html
Thank you. A person came and serviced our tank and said that there is no filter that proceeds the lamp. Is that possible? Also the neutralizer tank is below the refill line and he said that it doesn't affect the safety of the water but I remember that if the particles are too big the UV lamp can't do its job. Basically they made it sound like the neutralizer was synonymous with our filter system but that it was not dangerous if it was below the refill level. Is the neutralizer in this instance the same thing as the filter so to speak and does it affect the UV lamps efficiency? The giant neutralizer tank feeds into the lamp tank directly
If you reset the controller after replacing the lamp, as shown in this video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MnssV1UQcug.html and it keeps beeping you need a new controller. We have them here waterestore.ca/products/viqua-sterilight-replacement-ballast-part-ba-ice-s
Hi Gary, thanks for the tips. I just replaced my lamp following your guide here, but I have a problem. The system says "lamp key invalid". I've tried resetting it several times but it gives the same error message and beeping. I have a culligan system CUV5, but am trying to using a non culligan brand lamp, though it is the identical model lamp. Any ideas? Is it possible they make it so only their brand of key works with their controller?
You have fallen victim by purchasing a proprietary product instead of a non proprietary. The Culligan UV systems are likely made by Luminor who sell them to Culligan with a key unique to Culligan. The key only unlocks the lamp when you purchase the replacement lamp from Culligan. Although the non proprietary lamp fits, without the Culligan key, it won't work. Better for Culligan because they can charge whatever they want, but worse for you. This video explains more ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v2IyVLTVqGU.html This is exactly why we do not sell proprietary systems.
@@GarytheWaterGuy Thanks very much for your reply. Yes, we went with culligan for our entire household water system without doing our due diligence and have regretted it. I would not recommend that company. This lamp key thing doesn't surprise me one bit now that I better understand their business model. We're going to remove their uv system and find some better folks to do business with.

hello, I installed a 4 w puricom uv-c filter on my water purifier, but by attaching a flow switch to apec and ispring water purifiers, the lamp lights up while taking water ..?
Instructions don't even begin to help when I'm guessing you don't have this same system. My Siemens/ Sunlight Systems is a big box that is completely different - & I still don't even know how to open it to get to the bulb since my dad who maintained it, recently died.... I'm so aggrevated with this stupid system!
The system you have is very uncommon, I've never even seen one. I'd suggest replacing it with a more common, made in North America system like this one waterestore.com/products/viqua-9-gpm-ultraviolet-system-vh200-f10
Dude your bracket that mounts your "Big Blue" water filter cartridge housing is installed upside down, 180 degrees out! It should be behind the housing, the wall mounting leg of the metal bracket, concealed behind the removable housing! There is that not a cleaner and neater? Uses less wall space? Everyone mounts these wrong, drives me crazy!
