+Kene Kk He's a cameraman. He jumped on to do his best and be on the most famous adventures, only to find out such a job can be pretty depressingly boring at times. I have no idea what they pay him, but I agree, it looks like he's saving up to do something out of his own pocket. That's how all those independent documentaries are done. Get a boring job that pays you well and gives you experience, and when you have enough you can jump at something, somehow.

+thekingofcardboard For it to be in operation CMS would be closed, i.e. both those big halves pushed together. At the moment the LHC is running non-stop so this is clearly old footage from 2015, either before run 2 started or the technical stop in November/December.

Ive been in the cms cavern during an upgrade in 2014. nice 360 vid. But nothing beats being there. the sheer size and smell and sounds of all the bits of gear running. amazing place. called the largest machine in the world for a very real reason!

What if we could actually create a Flash for real? The particle accelerator would not do as planned, the Speed Force chooses someone special to become the Flash, and we all become affected by the particles, possibly accidentally giving us each a unique and individual power meant to be used for good.

I worked on CMS and it blew my mind to learn in a very basic way what the LHC was being developed to find out... parallel universe discovery was a little bit above the brain power of this humble welder 😮 Awesome video BTW.

It's good - 360 video certainly adds a lot more information that is missing from normal video - essentially play the video a few times and you can look around yourself and for me I ended up with a 3D internal map of in this case the architecture of the LHC and the CMS detector - a better understanding of it's scale and what it is and is not ... that before re: the LHC it's been tricky to get without actually going there.
