Except for the pictures .This woman is an amazing synthetizer ....those collages are calmed neo dada... there is a raw elegance in her taste... I do believe that Art is for the artist in first instance.. thank you for the video.
If we're honest with ourselves, that's essentially what art is: Convincing people through one way or another, whether it be through skill and/or thought, that the shit you make is worth looking at and investing in. You can make something with exceptional skill but no thought put behind it, or you can make something that takes absolutely no skills to create but had an exceptional amount of thought put into it, and still not make it anywhere; if no one is interested in even seeing it, then it doesn't matter.
you just have to make sure the pictures your using are either public domain or can be used for commercial purposes with giving credit to or paying the original artist. if you want i can give you links to websites where to photos are free to use. in case you don't know the artist (most likely to happen if you're a traditional collage artist) it's kind of a grey area, but basically just make it look different enough that it can't be traced back to anything. hope i could help.
What kinda books do you keep your clippings in .... They look like huge notebooks ... Buy Ive never seen a notebook like that anywhere... I have 1000s of clippings any ideas would help
If the magazines are not using non-white models in the ads then no, she won't use them. This kind of collage from fashion mags always puzzles me because I can't figure out what the models are doing there. They don't represent real people and there are no children, men or older people in their world. It's just a strange, sad meme - anonymous lipsticked young women with stuff pasted on their faces. What??? There are more interesting magazines out there ...
Love her work but the video director made an interesting error. She is talking about making photos with an old Nikon camera and he/she showed her handling a Polaroid camera
@@simeonzanechambers2430 Get a bunch of magazines. Then go thru them and rip out what ever hits your first impression. The idea is to NOT think about it. After some time get a cheap art notebook. If it's too fancy you over think it trying to "create art". A glass of wine or weed helps. LOL Just start pasting things haphazardly. Go back and forth. So the ones I did 20 years ago are ALL coming true NOW. I've had some amazing coincidences. It's tapping into the subconscious. Interestingly, that today you write me. Today I also got back in touch accidentally with my friend from Zurich after loosing touch for 10 years. :) Did this answer your question?
