It's alright if the good guys don't win, they do win at the end anyways. It's good to have a couple of losses here and then. They shouldn't have deleted this scene. It's amazing!
@@guzmanfelThat variation of Kingspin is Cloud's Signature. But the Kingspin has been done for way longer than Cloud has been alive. In many black and white Jazz shows, you can see alot of Jazz Singers do that move. It wasn't called a Kingspin then, just a Heel Spin. The reason it's called a "King" spin. Is because the rapid multiple rotations were first done by Michael Jackson. He is "The King of Pop". Hence the name Kingspin. Many other Bboys have done that before Cloud. Just watch Beat Street and you'll see both NYC Breakers and Rocksteady Crew doing that move but not diagonal. Cloud then made it a floor launch with a diagonal spin and it became one of his signatures. How people attribute the entire history of that move to ONLY Cloud shows how shallow the knowledge of younger generation is.
@@B.ScrubyThanks for this. Cloud's my favorite bboy and the King Spin is one of my favorite signatures, but I always hear that other people did it before him. But they always made it sound like this variation was before him so whenever I try to look it up, I can't find anything but Cloud doing this. I did learn that it's taken from the heel spin of old jazz dancers and MJ's heel spin, but now I guess I know for sure this variation of a launch into a diagonal spin is Clouds.
I think it would've added more depth to the plot if they made the main crew lose, it would cause disappointment and it would make the final dance battle a high stakes redemption battle challenging their idea of the best crew.
Wouldn't you be if an angry group of strangers, all bigger than you, accosted you in the bathroom and then chased you? Yeah, they were dancing, b/c it's a dance movie; but, there's no saying that any/all of them couldn't have attacked him, at any given time.
If you observe carefully, you'll see that cloud did not crash on his own in his last elbow freeze. The guy diagonally behind him kind of pushed him in between. Cloud's leg touched that guy's hand.
sad thing is, doesn't matter how good the cloud is, if he takes the spotlight, the scene WILL get deleted. If Cloud was in the main character's team, that's a whole different story. That's probably the whole reason why they allow Cloud to go all out in final match. What annoys me a little is that even during final match, his attacks got blocked by the camera as well Lawl.
In the final cut Cloud still has his dance scene. It's just to a different song and only Cloud dances actually putting him more in the spotlight. It's right Moose gets attacked in the bathroom. He even gets 10 more seconds than in the deleted scene. I do with they used him more in the final battle because I love him
@@kyreegreen9248 "Kid darkness" , his name is Daniel Campos and his real nickname is "BBOY CLOUD" he's a legend in the bboy community, every bboy KNOWS ABOUT HIM
he still was by far the most memorable dancer in the entire movie. Even as a kid he immediately caught my eye, not even moose or any of the other characters. Thought he was cool af
had to be a hard job for the director to decide what dance scenes stayed and what dance scenes hit the cutting room floor. Every single dance scene is incredible, entertaining and jaw dropping. I'd stay and watch the movie if it was 3 hours long and nothing was cut out. You picked a great video clip
+99 LTProblems pretty much. you gotta let the good guy win. its the toughest part of directing these dance movies i think- you gotta let the goodguy win- even though he might not be the best dancer. its why they should just cast bboy cloud as the hero in all these flicks- don't know why he isn't actually- he should have bene th lead in all the step up films. just call em step up to the cloud- and be doe with it already. i have no idea why that goofy kid moose is always the lead.
+Loop Set um that goofy kid, Moose, is always the lead because he's one of the fans favorites actually the most popular. Everyone loves him and even knows Cloud was good, no one knows nor cares about him on this movie😚 Good day..
I only really ever bothered to watch this movie because I'm a long time Daniel Campos fan, and it ended up being worth a watch, but I just can't get over Adam Sevani's role in this movie. They talk him up the entire movie about how he's such a good dancer, but most of the extras who don't even have lines or names dance better than him, with more flow, transitions, power moves, straight up everything! He's not a bad dancer in real life, but it seems like the people who made this movie just didn't know how to actually use him.
to those saying its the same- it is and it isn't- What the director did is got the actors to film the same sequence of freestyles in a row- but obviously the dancers each did slight variations on their sets. so this is a more like an alternative take than a deleted scene. this happened in the film- but the dancers did a different moves in the final version. in particular cloud crashes his pop up freeze in this take- he dosent quite nail it lie he does in the final version.
As much as I would love to just see a whole movie of just these battle scenes, I think it was necessary to cut this one short. Moose was looking too amazed and intimidated, and the rest of the crew wasn't really shining. Plus, having Carlos turn out of nowhere makes his betrayal more drastic. This scene almost justifies Carlos' decision. Too bad for Machine and the rest of the Samurai (can't identify them all) that were killing it, though. Would've been good for them to have more screen time.
Why is everyone comparing Cloud and Moose? They both have different dance styles... Cloud is a bboy Moose is a freestyler.. Why are you guys saying Moose can't dance, or he's not good enough I mean obviously he is if he was in the second, third, forth, and fifth step up movie, right? One more thing they cut this scene because it took up too much space not because the bad guys won the battle... basically what I’m saying is, Moose (Adam Sevani) is an amazing freestyler and probably way better than the people doubting him😚❤️
+Pebbles Latson Cloud is one of the best Bboys in the planet, his skill is way past Moose in their forms of dance. Moosa is a better actor though, that's why he's lead. He can act and dance!
karnivorto it actually was but alright😂 I literally said they have different styles of dance. Moose isn’t a bboy. Cloud can murder him in breakdancing but that’s about it. If you can’t find the logic in what I said, you’re just not that smart🥱
