Sis doesn't see Op as her brother but as her personal ATM machine. Well Op its time to shut down the ATM machine and make her and her Father work for what they want. Op has no responsibility to keep giving them money.
I'm glad he was able to come out of this intact, minus a few items sold. I had a similar situation and 4 months as my mother died my stepdad sold the house and either gave things away or left them in the house for the new owners to deal with. I was able to get some of my mom's furniture but lost a lot. I was unable to do anything as my stepdad talked my mother into a quick claim deed when the refinanced the house because his credit was better. I could have fought over the stuff since my mom had a Will but before my mom died she told me, if he doesn't let you have anything just walk away and don't fight because he will need you before you need him since I do well for myself and my stepsister doesn't work and likes life on welfare. He even told my mother before she died, which she stated to me that he wanted to pass before her because if she went first there was no one to take care of him. After everything he did to me, he's right, I won't be there.
OP, I want to say, yes there will come a time where you can think about your mother, without it being so painful. My deepest sympathy to you, just remember her as the beautiful soul she was and that she loved you totally. Be the person she would want you to be, and make her proud. Godbless, and live your best life EVER!!!X
Cancer is a terrible thing! I'm so sorry you and your family are going and/or went through this. It's even worse this has happened multiple people in your life. I can only imagine what it must be like and my heart goes out to you.
OP was in the right here. The only thing I kinda disagree with is the mindset that "there's no way that mom didn't give the house to me", but everything else was 100% reasonable. It's good to treat others every now and then, but OP's sister had to learn that money isn't infinite and that she shouldn't spoil herself at OP's expense. That's not an unreasonable request to have someone do something without your money. If sister wants to keep her lifestyle, that's fine, but it should be on HER dime, not OP's, regardless of OP's wealth. OP's stepdad was dirty. VERY dirty. He not only betrayed OP, but also the woman he married. The lawyer was also a bad person, and also... Don't lawyers pay well? Why would you risk a job as high-paying as that? I don't understand.
This story.....is...hurting me. I'm dieing....my son is 12....he knows...and we spend as much time together as possible.. I try and smile and maje him laugh....but...it breaks my heart to know I have to leave him....I told him....I'm proud of himbalready...he is my joy...my miracle and the greatest gift I've ever been given....I'm so sorry for your loss.....please....do you have any advice....anything you think i should tell him...or do that you wish your mom had done or said?
Barely 2 minutes in and I'm already hearing sirens! Getting married to a guy who had a new-born daughter, as his wife had only just died during the birth...That would be a total no for me! What was OP's Mom thinking? How long had she known this guy? Of course, OP would not have been at an age to see the red flags. Poor guy!
In many cases as shown kn reddit the clients lied to their lawyers but they have a responsibility to fact check with the courthouse and other lawyers before filing the case.
Stepdaddy was a swindler and a scammer, from way back, hiding right out in the open. Where in the world did OP's mother meet his criminal a**? I am glad though that she never put his name on her home. His attorney is an educated criminal, which is almost an oxi- moron and he still f'ed it up. Amazing how criminals find one another and think everyone is stupid but them. The lawyer can kiss his license good bye but can still practice jailhouse law, lol. OP, you have a good heart but don't let your defenses down. Stepsister tried to, along with her criminal daddy, take your house from you. Keep your eyes open and keep her at arms length. She has her father in her and can't be trusted.
What a joke, the step stranger participated in the fraud to rob him of home to buy friends, id have told it to go to its amazing friends for help and stay out of my life or id have to resort to less than pleasant measures to keep it away.
OP stepfather is Right OP gave her the gift she can do with it what she wants, that doesn’t mean she Has to be ungrateful about gifts and automatically give it to somebody else. I would never give her another gift, or I would give her the less gifts.
Stepdad: "Your not a man if you dont choose to buy..." OP: "So Im not a man if I choose NO when I have the option of chossing.... YET you already chose no and ask me to do what you failed to do that makes you less than me... " 😎
Another one of the “it’s too ridiculously stupid” to be true stories. There is no mystery about who owns a home. Just as there is no mystery about who gets what from an estate after a person dies. It is all spelled out very clearly in the will left behind. How someone could possible stand around and let a home and real property be stolen while they twiddle their thumbs waiting on paperwork is truly nonsensical. Assuming that OP was as clueless as the story here makes out, there is no way in the world they still couldn’t find everything they needed to stop the auction before it got started.
Stepdad has NEVER been a man. If he wants to spoil his daughter and buy her a vehicle that will probably end her life then that burden is all on Step father. She needs to find a rich boyfriend to support her spoiled lifestyle.
Mr. Reddito must not be American. His pronunciations of words sometimes sound like English isn't his first language. And the discrepancies between the subtitles and narration in every episode needs a lot of work. Would be nice if he didn't often use the same background and character models as well. It goes beyond the norm of animation studios regurgitating the same scenes to cut the cost and time for animation, which is a lazy and cheap practice that Disney has manipulated their fans over the decades into accepting as easter eggs in their movies.
