In this clip, Shawn Prez asked Stephanie Mills about reconnecting with Michael Jackson on the set of his “Bad” music video, and Stephanie went on to reveal that her ex-husband, Shalamar member Jeffrey Daniel, teaching Michael how to moonwalk. Stephanie added that she was there when Jeffrey and his friends taught Michael how to moonwalk and she stated, “I saw it with my own eyes.” When asked about her whispering something to Michael on the “Bad” set, Stephanie said that she didn’t want to disclose what she said. Moving along, Stephanie spoke about the “Bad” video set being the first time she had seen Michael in years, and she noticed that he looked so different. Stephanie then pointed to Michael, Sammie Davis Jr., and Natalie Cole not being celebrated like other artists, including Elvis. When asked if she thinks Michael was proud of her career, Stephanie stated that she’s unsure about what he thought, but she added that Michael always appreciated people with talent.

Samy Davis Jr DID was celebrated by the Grammys with achievement award, including recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors and other so called important-white-awards. Natalie Cole sweep the Grammys with that side by side song with her father, including best album of the year, and she was tribute after her death. And the irony is that Elvis hardly got any awards or official recognition on award shows etc. BTW MTV had on rotation Prince, Musical Youth, Eddie Grant, Badbrains, the Specials and other black acts since 1981, two years before Billie Jean music video, even Prince's Little Red Corvetted played first then MJ. MTV was Rock oriented.
@mikes.johnson204
@mikes.johnson204 Год назад
The name of the person who created the moonwalk name was Bill Bailey in reference to prince, Eddie Grant, and those other videos mentions they came on prior to Michael Jackson. They used to come on between two and four in the morning when you did not have no viewership, and according to the interview with, David Bowie or TTV sports MTV was forced to play black videos or CBS rackets was going to yank all of theirs which was 80% of M TVs video run. It was only been in 1980 for the first quarter that they showed a profit due to the heavy dose of videos of Michael Jackson songs, beat it, Billie, Jean, and thriller. Remember the song Billie Jean has some rock undertones featuring Eddie Van Halen.
