Every team has a bench filled with players who want to play, but rarely get the chance. This is true at every level of sport. The great players, of course, spend little if any time there. Never do they care enough about the schlumps on the bench to forfeit their own play time. Sorry not sorry. And the coach, after all, has to make the tough choices for the overall good of the team. Harsh, but that is the price of winning. All good and well until you're no longer the best player. Stephen A, Chuck and Kerr all know this and yet they defend poor Tatum. C'mon, man! Kerr's decisions, although not perfect, helpled team USA win gold. I mean, that's what it's all about, right!? Winning. Dog eat dog. Do whatever it takes. You get out of it what you put into it. Kerr learn triangle offense with Phil Jackson and real ball movement with Coach Pop, Tatum loves to play too much one on one (iso) and they have many players like that on the team, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter as long as the team winning, let Kerr coach you talking too damn much
My humble opinion is now 8/2/24……I am shocked at how well team u.s.a is playing…..they are playing tough defense…..never saw most of these guys play any defense in the nba…….my opinion is Kerr has them playing ball…..and this Stephen smith….shut up…you know nothing about basketball…you were the waterboy
Kerr has never been a good coach, what did any of yall expect of him. Look at his time with Golden State, he has a history of not playing players. He’s not a good coach but when you have that much talent, does it really matter?

Offensively he settles for Jumpers, and does not know how to post up at his height. He does not dominate the boards, or block shots. He is not involved if he is not scoring. And he is not physical enough, BUT!!!!! He is perfect for NBA ruled Basketball.
