@@MoetChandonHollywoodlifestyles It has better ratings because First Take is on ESPN, always wins by default. If you flipped the shows channels, SAS and Max would've lost their show on the first year. First Take after Skip left took a pretty big hit in ratings but the ESPN brand is too big to lose.

I used to be a huge baseball fan( Yankee Fan) growing up it was my favorite sport. Now my favorite sport is Football followed by Basketball. As a black male I identified with the black ball players there were a number of black players in MLB Ricky Henderson, Dave Winfield, Ozzie Smith, Andre Dawson even non Hall of Famers such as Claudette Washington, Micky Rivers, Ken Griiffy Sr, Cecil Fielder and Tony Clark the current executive of Players Union I can go on and on and on Baseball will become obsolete until MLB starts marketing the game to young kids here in America especially Urban areas. Kids in Latin Countries look at baseball as a way out of poverty and a better life. Young black kids should be doing the same. However our focus and passion are for football and basketball two sports that are over 70 percent black.
I’m an African American too who grew up on baseball. It was actually my Dad’s favorite sport so we bonded with it. But over the years I gravitated to football and basketball as an athlete and a fan not because of the lack of minority representation in baseball but because it’s now BORING! Basketball and football have become more exciting and assessable TV wise. It seems like baseball has gone backwards instead of forwards. Hard to watch.
MLB has shifted their focus to Latin America and Asia. They put in plenty of money in academies in those areas. Considering there is plenty of talent in the US including black players in the college ranks.

The players are at fault. Y'all forgetting that sports is entertainment. Nowadays baseball's losing viewers because of lebron james. A rod was the only star in mlb who collected off of his own image the new era of players need to ball like they have young kids that look up to them and nothing happening because the new era isn't creating enough revenue. This is why I never buy their Jersey wear their shies because they can't never be doing this for the fans they just want to take the money and run like Russ Westbrook did
Baseball players switch teams more than NBA and NFL. Spend hundreds on a MLB jersey and by next year he’ll be on a different team. I also think social media has played a role in the decline of sports.
It's another time to set a goal for the year, one need to set goals and take bold steps in achieving them. Remember success is not obtained overnight, you have to stop procrastinating and try what you have always wanted to improve in you're life and well being. Investment will take you closer to your dreams.

Amazing to watch two of the best, most dynamic speakers in sports radio do their thing. Wish I had the ability (and energy) to speak/express myself as well as these guys. Absolute legends. I'll be tuning in from now on on Wednesdays. Must HEAR television.
Basic financial literacy they teach us in Highschool is to have enough money to last you 3 months if a pro MLB player can’t do that or more then I feel bad for them
