Will Cain, I am a lifelong, diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and even I can admit that what you are talking about is pure fantasy. The Cowboys winning out the rest of their games? It is not going to happen. Don't get Cowboys fans hopes up with that nonsense. Can it happen? Well sure, anything CAN happen. But what really matters is what WILL happen...and what will NOT happen. First of all, we now have a FEMALE judge deciding Elliott's domestic abuse fate. I will be happily shocked to my foundation if she rules in his favor, but who honestly believes that she will?? Zeke is fucked. So what I think is the most likely reality facing the Dallas Cowboys is that they're going to have to go six games with Morris running the ball and of course they will have to activate McFadden also. They will be lucky to get even half of Elliot's production with those guys running the ball. They are decent running backs but they are not Elliott. And the Cowboys have to hope and pray they can figure out how to win pretty much ALL of those games until Elliot returns...if they have any aspirations of winning the division, that is. Well, it is just not going to happen. The best the Cowboys can hope for is to finish the season very strong, banging on all cylinders and hope to defeat whoever they play in the wildcard game for a chance to play and beat the Eagles. Now this I think they CAN accomplish, assuming the head coach and offensive coordinator can figure out a winning strategy. But that is something else that they have been painfully inept at doing in the past. Some of the playcalling continues to be absolutely atrocious and this will be a crucial factor moving forward. I actually believe that the Dallas Cowboys are still a better team than the Philadelphia Eagles, regardless of their records. They will get two regular season opportunities (and hopefully one playoff opportunity) to prove this. We shall see.
