i said that at first too. but then i realised that they could then apply to another school and play which could happen and also would allow them to maybe get around the one and done rule thus letting them off easy but maybe by suspending them for the whole year the one and done rule will not be satisfied and they will have to return next year or go abroad and play for one year at least and the biggest reason i want them punished this way is so that any other player who goes abroad like ucla did is because the next time those players might not get so lucky so maybe if they know that these guys got a harsh punishment by u.s standards they will think twice.

I understand why you say to expel them, actually, it would be more of a punishment if they just got removed from the team for a full year, but remained in the school, and only could participate in academics, only. That, and lots and lots of community service. A) They still get an education. Useful in the real world. B) They get a chance to give back for once in their lives with the community service. C) They get a second chance. (If they decide to take advantage of it). Everybody fucks up big at least once in their life. Let this be theirs. Second fuck up? Screw 'em.

These college athletes are supposed to be getting an education as "payment" for them playing basketball (a scholarship). However, the school has them flying over to China to play a basketball game in the middle of the semester? I find it completely unfair that the NCAA rakes in billions of dollars, and forces these students to fly all over the world to play basketball at a high level (which requires hours and hours of preparation and practice), and yet pays them absolutely nothing. Don't you agree that's a bit unfair? As mentioned earlier, this doesn't excuse their shoplifting in any way. They are solely to blame, and are completely retarded for stealing glasses in china. They should be embarrassed and ashamed.

Paying college athletes is not gonna solve this problem, and the reality is that many of these athletes are not guaranteed to have professional athletic careers after college, so it would behoove many of them to stop complaining, take advantage of this opportunity, represent your families correctly, and be the best student and athlete you can.
