"Oh dead of course!" Haha it's so easy to forget that Tom's actually a really good comic who's been featured on snl over 3 decades. My favourite actor of all time
+Mikhail Kalashnikov Well, though it was cheesy watching it as a kid, rewatching it as an adult, there are a fuck ton of dark undertones in there my friend.
+Abhilash R J i think theyre all scripted in this segment, just because the jokes are so spontaneous and they always have a funny answer, especially since tom hanks isnt even a comedian
+Noah haoN oh man, if you think Tom isn't actually funny just because he's not a comedian, think again. He's a natural comic and really witty, he's much funnier and all those people who claim that they're comics
arianta619 im not saying hes not actually funny, but even most comedians couldnt come up with such funny answers without a moments thought, there's a chance some of the lines in this segment are spontaneous but im pretty sure that at least most are scripted
+Brighson Tolentino I also think that a BS session on a grassy hill late at night, presumably while drinking, is more of a guy-guy thing, than a girl-guy thing. I remember when ScarJo was on, thinking it would've worked better with a guy. She wasn't the right fit for it, but I think she tried.
For some reason, I didn't expect Tom to be this good at improv, but then I felt stupid for thinking that. Of course he's fucking good at it, he's Tom Hanks.
+Will Stein (WillandDom) If I had only seen this one, I would've thought it was scripted, but scarlett was so awfull at this that I can't believe that, or she just can't act..
+ttwilightzzone It`s crazy, man. Every year hundreds of thousands of people smuggle skeletons through air ports and security is doing *nothing* about it.
+cc22ful I hope that its not just bec its new and we havnt seen anything yet, tho I watched the colbert report for years that it was on and it was always good.
I love the way Tom Hanks points to the stars at 2:07. You can just tell he is such a good performer, just including little details make's it so much more believable. He has made this skit incredible, I love Tom Hanks.
+PlanetarPL i would prefer at the very end of the skit as it zooms out morgan freeman hands him a doobie especially if morgan does a long monologue ending with stephen just goin huh
the best idea for a movie that hasn't been made yet, it's an action thriller about an elite team of secret service dogs that protect the president's dog I DIE
This may be one of Colbert's great running gags. Like Karnak with Carson. Speaking of which Stephen is a worthy successor to that legacy of late night.
I like to imagine that when time travel gets invented, all of these people go back in time to kill Hitler, and then there's just a few hundred people trying to get into this tiny bunker.
I love the audience member with the distinctive "ho ho" laugh". Very funny bit. I was worried about Colbert for like the first week but he's really settled into things.
We have a place for old dogs here in Colorado, too! Filled with bunnies and chew bones, creeks and ponds to swim in, and forests for them to play in FOREVER! How cool is that!
I used to think about that all the time growing up. I have always fantasised about time travelling to see and hold myself as a baby, and he actually reminded me of that. Glad to know I wasn't the only one lol
I'm developing a new admiration for Stephen Colbert comedy, even though he has a very good team of writers, I can tell when he is doing improv and coming with something witty, funny and brilliant, he surprises himself. He is very quickly distancing himself from the other night show hosts and the traditional variety show, he is creating his own mark.
