Love him. He had such an amazing screen presence.. Just imagine if he had allowed himself to become a star! There's not enough of him left on film now to satisfy his fan's desires to see him.

A wonderful actor very talented and to think Mr Boyd was brought in at the last moment for 'Ben Hur' no other person could of done it the way he did.

I have only seen 5 Stephen Boyd movies. In order of preference, they are The Fantastic Voyage, Ben Hur, The Bravados, Jumbo, and Abandon Ship. Favourite posters and stills are from Ben Hur, The Fantastic Voyage, The Fall of the Roman empire, The Bravados, The Bible, The Third Secret, Woman Obsessed, The Night Heaven Fell, The Oscar, and the final still.

Hi Flora, I've seen 7 of these - Ben-Hur, Roman Empire, Genghis Khan, The Bible, Bravados, Shalako and Fantastic Voyage. I can't remember if I've seen The Oscar, maybe. Ben-Hur and Fantastic Voyage are my top favorites here. Thanks for posting, always appreciated!

He should have received an Oscar for best supporting actor in Ben Hur. There aren’t any great actors anymore. After the slap they should take the show down. The days of elegance are gone.

Nice video....have not seen movies...seen #10 The Bible, #9 The Best of Everything, #2 Fantastic Voyage and #1 Ben-Hur....so only 4...but they are in his Top 10. Made this video and the Robert Shaw our post of the day at UMR. Voted up.

stephen boyd imo was a mega actor tragic he died so young had it all talent looks such a loss to acting rip stephen will be remebered for sure

Yes I 100-percent agree with the order of these films yes most definitely and then Ben-Hur outstanding bit of Acting this film would have been half as good if it wasn't wasn't

Really? Roman Empire better than Ben-Hur? It's a good film but I thought Boyd was the weakest link in that, it needed a stronger actor, like Heston or Burton. Thanks for posting!

@@Top10Charts3978 I thought he was very good,but am aware that goes v the general view..Frankly,don't see Heston in that kind of role.Someone who might have made a fist of it was the American actor Richard Egan IMO.
