This was SOOOOO great!!! Sedaris's response to Colbert getting the modern take on the doctor riddle was fantastic. Colbert has made great ones like this for ages, and then Seth Meyers had that wildly awesome "jewels" bit a couple weeks ago. More of these weird bits whenever possible!

I ended up paralyzed (quadriplegic) when I was 17 from shallow water dive. I'm now 41 and my 68 year old mother has been my sole caregiver since 2019. The last shower I had was Thanksgiving 2022 and it was 0ver 3 years before it that I had last showered. Yesterday my mom tells me she a dream that she was helping me with a shower! She never remembers her dreams! Now this! Wow! Never stop believing and keep hope alive! So much love to all! ❤

Isn't that the story of Ramon Sampedro? He was paralyzed at 25 from a diving accident in shallow water and lived the rest of his life as a quadriplegic. I mean, not that I don't believe you. It's just odd how similar your story is.

I live in my car. I pay the truck stop $16 a day to keep the Shower Witch away. No tub, no curtains. Just a tile floor, a good drain, and a wet floor-towel to stand on while you dry off with the body-towel. Then you throw that towel on the floor to soak up more water while you grab the 2nd body-towel they provide & finish drying off..😁👍

@melaniehassler2405 I recommend (in my area at least) Petro/Travel Centers of America vs Pilot Flying J, or Love's. Bigger bathroom/showers, cheaper, aforementioned 2nd bath towel, don't mind if you take your time, and sometimes employees or truckers (who get free shower credits every time they spend $50+ on diesel) will treat you to a free shower 👍

@@UnderstandingDarknessI heard him tell how he got on a plane with one name, and got off the plane with a silent t. What made it possible was the separation from his family when he went off to be an actor. It's pretty clear that the pretentiousness of the French sounding name is a joke, and it worked for the Colbert Report. But he's not playing that character anymore, and he still has the close connection to his family. I've heard him call himself ColberT I think about 3 times since maybe September. He's certainly not hiding it. And I think that his loyalty to his family might be weighing on him, so maybe he's going to "change his brand."

@@glennarnold3667 I remember something along the lines of the kids being informed of the original pronunciation (without the T) and being given a choice as to how they wanted to pronounce their name. Stephen dropped the T as a young adult. But if he's around family, he's hearing the T all the time and might fall back into the habit. After all, the world might know someone as "William", but he'll always be "Billy" back home.

I laughed so hard at this ridiculous skit and I love that it’s so crazy.🤣🤣🤣 I’m amazed they didn’t bring up the issue of the inside shower curtain trying to stick to you while you shower if you can’t get it to stay put.😅 I hate when that happens.😕

This is why I like Japanese baths or American walk-in showers. Eschew (Gesundheit!) your tubs and shower curtains and you'll have a wet floor where you're supposed to have a wet floor with the water draining away, never worry about mold, the Shower Witch or Anthony Perkins.
