People act like this dude hadn’t shown up in the finals prior to this series. Man averaged 27 , 7 and 7. This man is an icon and a legend . Put some respect on his name.
Celtics actually played drop coverage all series against curry pick and rolls which is pretty interesting to say the least. Al horford god absolutely burnt. Not saying the D wasn’t hard on Curry though. He certainly made Celtics pay for every single mistake, and attacked the paint like he’s 6’4.
@@godmodeactivated5843 the Celtics were the number 1 defense in the nba. Made Kevin Durant have the worst playoff series of his career while sweeping his team and beating the “real best team in the east”. And Steph averaged 31 on them 💀
The Legendary Resume of Stephen Curry 1x Finals MVP tonight 4x Champion 8x All-Star 8x All-NBA 2x MVP (1 and only unanimous MVP) 2x Scoring Leader NBA’a all-time 3-point leader All Star Game MVP First ever West Finals MVP *Steph is one of the all-timers*
People don't understand, Curry is not only about the 3's. He does everything when the moment needs it. His dribbling skills, his passing skills, and how he owns the paint beating big centers to the punch. Look how easily he got past Horford not once, BUT 4 TIMES!!! Curry's only competition in the dribbling skills department is Kyrie Irving. Curry doesn't even need to dunk to be a threat in the paint!! Trust me, it's not just his shooting: It's his whole presence on the court! Shooting off the fancy dribbling with such quickness, catch and shoot ability like no other! And you don't need to do no video editing for special effects: CURRY IS A HUMAN CHEAT CODE🤣🤣🤣👍🏾🔥🔥🔥
Lets not forget one of the most important aspects of his game. His off ball movement. He is constantly in motion, setting screens and shifting the defense. The threat that he might have a sliver of daylight to get a shot off throws defenses into absolute disarray. He is probably the most impactful player I have ever seen on the offensive side of the ball. The only people that can compare are guys like Shaq and Wilt who were just such dominant forces that guys were forced to double them
@@scarfaceaceo you have a valid case for Kyrie being the "handles" GOAT, but personally I may be one of very few people that finds Curry's handles more entertaining to watch than Kyrie's because of how Curry still manages to get the shot off in such rapid motion in the midst of his ball "handles". We're tempted to call these "catch-and-shoot, and1 handles-and-shoot" moments flukes, but Curry just keeps doing stuff like this on a consistent basis, you know what I mean?😁👍🏾
The fact that steph curry has absolutely transformed his game since losing 3-1 in 2016 is nothing short of extraordinary. This guy has levels I don’t even think we’ve seen yet and that makes me beyond happy and at least half the league scared. Steph thank you for making me find love for a game I never had before watching you. Forever in debt to the greatest shorter ever… MOMMA THERE GOES THAT MAN!
Certainly one of the greatest. For fun, I compared his 13-year career numbers with first 13 years of three other elite guards: Jordan, Kobe, and Iverson. Regular season only. Here are their averages per year (Games, Minutes/Game, PPG, Rebounds, Assists, Steals): Curry: 63.5 / 34.3 / 24.3 / 4.7 / 6.5 / 1.6 Jordan: 71.5 / 38.6 / 31.5 / 6.3 / 5.4 / 2.5 Kobe: 72.9 / 36.4 / 25.1 / 5.3 / 4.7 / 1.5 Iverson: 68.2 / 41.4 / 27.1 / 3.7 / 6.2 / 2.2 These four stand out compared to the others (C. Paul, Westbrook, Stockton, Nash, Parker). Plus I excluded the real old-timers (Robertson, West, etc.).
@@mohammedmahameed9082 he added a lot more muscle. Steph used to lose his balance driving the lane when getting bumped by a big man. Just look how easy he finishes through contact now
It's funny how everyone forgets that Curry carried us to our first title against the Cav's just cause he didn't get Final's MVP.. He did the same thing again this year and carried the team to another 🏆 without KD , yet some people still think he isn't top 10 all time lol.
crazy how time flies. i remember being a kid looking up to him and watching him play. Now, im suppose im still a "kid", but more of an adolescent now that im in my late teens. you guys get what i mean. Stephen Curry will forever be my biggest inspiration and favorite player.
While alot of people seem to be stuck on what happened in 2016 and STILL stuck on it , I’m glad to be able to witness and appreciate a helluva finals performance resume
Curry puts dudes out of commission. He is up there with the top legends. The way he dribbles the ball and is able to set plays for his teammates. He has already surpass a lot of legends believe or not. Yes that is correct.
Some1 said this brother not playing hes just having fun 100% agree. Life is about having fun weather with your lady, job, car, house just smile and have fun. Well done bro SC 🐐🐐🐐🐐👑
A lot of that defense he faced against TT and dellavedova, he would have BBQ'ed chicken this go around. Testament to how he worked on his strength and conditioning. Impressive
The scary thing for the league is that he has put on muscle and gotten stronger and starting to take the mid-range shots. This reminds me of the evolution of Michael Jordan’s body and game. Curry can score from anywhere and his defense has improved. Exciting to see how many more chips they can win in the coming years.
I'll never forget the play at 14:55. Just always stuck out to me as the quintessential moment of Curry's career. Getting blatantly fouled right in front of the ref who sees the foul and ignores it, by a team who's strategy revolved around stopping him over anyone else(including KD), and he still scored and ended up beating them in the finals.
Even till now, i still cant believe Curry is not the MVP on their 1st championship No hate to Igoudala but dude, them that decided needs to rewatch the series again Anyway, watching Curry play is just a great show Congratz on their win this year and Curry being the MVP, well deserved
Curry used to be a little more spry and his back and hips were more mobile before 2018, but he’s definitely stronger and better defensively now and overall still just as fast and quick
Whoever’s reading this, i pray that whatever your going’s through gets better and whatever your struggling with or worrying bout is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
just like Kobe was, Steph is committed to practicing .. Hes a natural when it comes to ball handing. I saw him in Detroit last weekend, didnt have the best game, but was funny to see half the crowd as Pistons fans go wild when he would sink a three. We did win though.
Everyone says his 3 changed the game. I think it’s a combo of ball-handling and 3pts. He has defenders literally flailing on the court trying to keep up.
Relaxed officiating has also changed the game. Much less physicality (and traveling). I'm not saying it's changed it for better or worse, but is has changed it. Also, Steve Kerr changed it as well, since he built the team to take better advantage of three-point shots.
Curry should have won the FMVP in 2015. I think he deserved the 2018 as well. But it is what it is and he rightfully redeemed himself as this year's FMVP. You should be in the Top 10 All Time Greatest NBA Players.
The greatest shooter in the nba, the baby face assasin, 2 time mvp, 1 time final mvp, break all time three point record, he did it one shot every single time.
Certainly one of the best. For fun, I compared his 13-year career numbers with first 13 years of three other elite guards: Jordan, Kobe, and Iverson. Regular season only. Here are their averages per year (Games, Minutes/Game, PPG, Rebounds, Assists, Steals): Curry: 63.5 / 34.3 / 24.3 / 4.7 / 6.5 / 1.6 Jordan: 71.5 / 38.6 / 31.5 / 6.3 / 5.4 / 2.5 Kobe: 72.9 / 36.4 / 25.1 / 5.3 / 4.7 / 1.5 I Iverson: 68.2 / 41.4 / 27.1 / 3.7 / 6.2 / 2.2 These four stand out compared to the others (C. People don't get it. Apart from his superhuman shooting ability Curry is one of the most, if not the most, intelligent and crafty player I've ever seen. He doesn't just outplay the opponent he outhinks and outsmarts them. He reads the game like a master, can asses the options he has and make quick decisions all in the blink of an eye while executing it with skill and perfection. He is also able to mask his intentions and switch up his strategy so he doesn't become predictable which causes alot of chaos and confusion on the court even without him having to touch the basketball. He's always like 2 steps ahead of the opposition. Soo when people tell me KD is better I laugh because He CANNOt do what Steph can. Steph has so many ways he can beat you it's not even funny.
With curry’s performance this finals as well as another ring now having 4. I see a lot of people placing him top 10 or top 5. Which is expected after his performance and finals performance. I can almost agree with a top 10 even now with his career still in play. However I don’t think we should place someone until their career is over. He’s already closing in on top 10 and still has years left to possibly gain more rings, mvps, etc. curry could pass 30,000 points end with 6 rings, mvps, record for 3’s plus all his other stats. If he keeps at the rate he’s at now he could easily make top 3 or even the greatest player in the world. This game nowadays is insane🤯
Stephen Curry definitely has awesome handles and plays the game with sheer enthusiasm similar to an energetic teen. I perceive his love of the game. May The good, LORD continue to bless you and his family. May he prosper just as his soul prospers. Amen
People act like this dude hadn’t shown up in the finals prior to this series. And they are wrong. He has the second best PPG in title clinchers... 32PPG, just after Jordan who is nº1.
