Another form of speech, which goes hand-in-hand with this, is the lazy voice. That really annoys me. I'm struggling to pin down a description of it in words, but it's a kind of growl in the back of the throat, instead of forming actual vocal sounds. American high-school girls do it all the time. If you're struggling to understand what I mean by this, listen to any... ANY... old Britney Spears interviews from when she was a young pop star. She'd typically start talking in a normal voice, but the energy would flag to the point where she was just making sounds in her throat which barely met the minimum qualification as discernible speech.
@@Peripatetic5 I'd never heard that term, had to look it up to see if it matched to what I meant. Bullseye! Exactly the thing. It's frustrating to not know the descriptor of something and have to flail around trying to put it into words. Vocal fry, I'll remember that. Ironic name, given the video.
