James Kalm saunters into Front Room and takes in a viewing of Stephen Mallon's photo exhibition "Prelude". This selection of photos were taken during late summer 2014 at a shipyard in South Korea. Working on a commission from the New York Times, Mallon spent a week climbing over, slipping into and squeezing through various parts of this incredible construction. These large format photos capture the sublime scale of this monster, as well as the human workers who have created, "the largest floating structure in the history of the world". A musical introduction is provided by Outlaw Ritual and was recorded at Union Square. This program was recorded October 6, 2015.
