Between The Eyes!!! That's one of my personal favourites too. Good choice. Along with Drive Me Crazy, What's It Gonna Be, Top Secret, Never Use Love, The Morning After, and many others. Ratt had a lot of strong songs that weren't singles.
Being a teenager in the 80's was absolutely awesome! Ratt and Dokken were my 2 favorite bands, but I loved the whole scene. It's great to see this music loving on and making a comeback after it started getting mocked in the 90's. The 80's were FUN!
But I already have all those Atlantic records multiple times. Annnnnd... VINYL box ordered. CD box ordered. One of your very best interviews so far. For anyone who misses the classic RATT era, Stephen's last two solo records 'Smash, and 'View To A Thrill' both RULE.
Been a fan of Stephen Pearcy/Ratt since the 80s. Been praying for him ever since I heard about his health condition. Hope to be able to see him on stage one day soon. May God continue to bless you Stephen. Your music continues to bring me so much joy to this day. Proud to be a 50 something rocker!❤
When ever I need a lift while driving I put on some RATT. Still listen to them and their music is timeless as they for me have stood the test of time. No boring for sure. Respect.
Stephen looks so much better and healthier than he has in a little while. So glad for that! So glad for him! When your a rock icon like Stephen,it’s all about the people that surround you. God bless Stephen! You are absolutely doing the right thing to take care of yourself and the legacy you created
Such a super cool interview, Jason! I'm so grateful that Stephen is doing so well. RATT was always one of my favorites. I got to see them perform a few times back in the 80s and right after Robbin left. RATT N ROLL! Take care!
I caught Vince and Stephen at a show in Indio, Ca in January and both sounded awesome. Tons of energy and both brought the hits! Definitely check these guys out! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@jimmyagates oh shit I didn’t realize that, yea it definitely needs a re release on CD, the last cd press it had was from 1991. I’m more of a cd guy anyway and your right it still the physical format worldwide
The RATT bastard himself!!! Now that was an interview!!! Stephen is the real deal that's for sure!!! Love his stories about the Sunset Strip and the bands and debauchery! He even mentioned Roxx Regime (pre-Styper)!!! Those guys go way back! It great to hear him give respect to them and other musical peers!
@@WasteSomeTimewithJasonGreen It was another great interview. Pre-ordering the box set as well. RATT was always my favorite band to come out of the 80's. See you all on the cruise very soon!
My favorite all time song is round and round!!!! it could never go old, and I always love hearing it!!! And so many many more songs I love from them!!!! Keep ROCKIN Ratt 🐀!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Got to get my box set pre-ordered. Plus keeping my eyes peeled for Stephen's tour in my area. I saw them not too long ago and they didn't disappoint! Sounds tight af! Dont waste your money on that other big band from the Sunset Strip currently on tour. No drum or backing tracks here!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
You are correct people know all the Ratt songs because they are all good, they really did not make any cheesy bad songs all their albums are good which Out of the Cellar and Invasion of your Privacy being the best
As far as I'm concerned there head and shoulders above their peers. People go on about motley man ratt blows them out of the water on every outing they had.
Uh Huh,,,Nikki tried to call Jake a liar for that. Jake said they tried to get him in motley when he was with Ozzy, but Stephen, God bless him, also remembers them going after Jake...just another voice lending credence to Jake's memory when he tells the great stories he tells. Sincerity folks, it's there when Jake is telling a serious story
Hey warren if your listening, have you forgot us ratt fans ..we’re the ones that bought your albums, tee shirts posters .. and went to see you in concert back in the day,, I feel it’s not right for you to not support the fans, we’re still here man, why in the hell would you do Stephen and us ratt fans like this .. we might still be old but we still can kick some ass..
Really love Jason's show he always asks good questions and Steven Pearcy is always entertaining..! Seen them since Allentown fair PA in 1984! With twisted sister and Lita Ford! Love ratt and roll ! It's time to go round and round ! Ha!
What a down to earth guy. And he’s right, none of us are getting any younger. I know Warren lives up the hill from Lynch and has his own woodworking business which he seems to be what he is into. But is it asking too much of him to do say 5-7 huge shows as a final tour of the original members? I also heard multiple times in this interview that next years tour may be it. If so then I’ll have to get out again to see them. Jason, great job again!
I am 58 and grew up in the 80s and Ratt was my all time fav. 80s Band , Sure i liked Zep and Sabbath , But out of all the Dokkens and motleys RATT was and still is my Fav, My ex wife and me saw them in 85 i believe when Bon Jovi opened , And have seen them several times since , Ratt and Roll Forever !!!!!!!!!!!
I have met Stephen many of times Texas Florida back to texas threw dimebag Darrel he is an awesome guy great to talk to just a really down to earth kind of guy I have so much stuffed signed by him when he was selling a lot of his ratt stuff online I was talking to him online and didn’t even realize it till I got off line lol pretty cool thoe I have all of his backstage passes from the 80s in a cool frame he had on his wall out of all of the celebrities I have met he was the coolest
10:26 Stephen, I'm the guy you gave dirty looks at in July or August of 1998 in Columbus Ohio as I sang along to every song to all the 8191 stuff. Sorry, I'm loud and I was trying short hair for the first time in about 10 years.
North Carolina. Please bring the show. I'll fn pass out flyers! lol no really Stephen, Thank You for being you and bringing Ratt N Roll to the world. Robbin - you are missed every day! ✌ Peace.
I think the original members of RATT should get together for a barbecue, no lawyers, and just talk about Robbin and the great times they had and realize they have less time to live. The end result I hope is that they remember what they had and do a final tour Called “The Final RATT Bash” and dress a bit like the 80’s and focus on the music they all made together. They would make millions and give the fans what they want. Please don’t do this the way KISS did and leave out any original members. ❤
Repackaging the CDs yet again in a box set is completely pointless. Still, the best versions of the full length album CDs are the Japanese SHM/CDs. That being said, we just need an official live album already. There must exist some audio footage fit to work with and release.
Let's kick off the reunion tour in Jacksonville Florida!! I need a backstage all access pass. Please... Totally 4 sure... Make it about the music and not the money!☠💯
Side note tech question: Jason what software do you use for recording these live video interviews? The sound and quality is always quite good. Nice Job and keep up the good work.
@@stevedamien638 The genre was essentially called 'hard rock' before the NWOBHM, when people started calling it 'heavy metal' in a generalized way. Yes, i'm old.
@@AudiophileTubes Same year, was born in 1970 so I lived it all, Metallica was metal when they came out, Wasp being the heaviest for a year only, Megadeth/Exodus/Sodom/Overkill brough Thrash. We went by ears and not magazines, Montreal was and is the Metal capital here so back then we had Metal record shops on every block next to a strip clubs, Montreal has over 64 strip clubs in the city alone(no suburbs),lol Imagine a major cityhas what? 2-3. Where you live buddy?
Juan is back with his writing skills and an awesome 2017 tour with Carlos and I was excited for what was next with these guys. Nope Just Stephen doing his 456th solo album 😢
I’m 55 so, my teenage years obviously went through the 80’s. I always gravitated towards the heavier end of the spectrum. Initially , Sabbath, Maiden, Priest, Motörhead then into the speed metal and thrash bands. As much as I disliked most of the pop metal of the 80’s, Ratt always hit me different than the Poison, Motley etc. i heard the EP first and loved the rawness of it. I wasn’t a fan of Round and Round but, I liked the rest of and Invasion. The rest of the 80’s output was hit or miss but all had their moments. I always held them in a higher regard bc in spite of their typical 80’s image, musically they just wrote better songs and they didn’t seem to ever lean into the whole power ballad thing . They just wrote cool hard rock tunes.
Stephen, please reconsider the EP on vinyl only...I haven't owned a turntable since 1990...CD or HD digital download only for me. At least think about Bandcamp as an option.
