Born to wild what a take off song!!🚀Hey, if you read this come, cool off with my latest track “Grateful Heart”: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7xebApiZ6h0.html
The video is from the movie Easyrider staring Peter Fonda Dennis Hooper and Jack Nicholson as the hitchhiker. The song was in the movie and a staple in the Motorcycle Club world. I own it as well.
Hey, dear Blessing ... somehow I missed this reaction from you way back when. I just caught up with it today. I'm not surprised how energized it left you. It's right up your alley. ❤ The film was a landmark event, introducing the vast majority of America for the first time to the uprising of its youth -- primarily its strong rejection of the Vietnam War. It's definitely worth a viewing, dear one. 👍✌️🎸
Steppenwolf was such a great band, especially live. Here they performer another of their classics, "The Pusher". ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LmdDMGp8IS8.html
Lead singer John Kay and the band also look very cool performing this live. The 1969nvideo where Kay is in black leather pants and vest and wearing shades. Watching the video from Easy Rider where the guy gets up on his seat reminded me of a house party I was at in my late teens. Two guys got on their bikes and performed for us as we sat on the steps. It was a residential street and they kept racing by the house at 100 mph while standing up on their seats and doing various stunts. I think they were lucky that we didn't have to scrape them off the pavement that night.
I got no notice! RU-vid 🤯The last time I got to see John Kay (singer) and Steppenwolf was the late 90s and it was awesome live. Love your channel and reactions! 😊
When I hear an ad use a classic song from back when, I do my best to ignore that ad on principle. A couple of other classic songs from the Easy Rider soundtrack are "It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)" by Bob Dylan and "If 6 Was 9" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The cover of "The Weight" by Smith is pretty good, nearly as good as the original by The Band, which would make their version a classic if it was the only version. Another song from that soundtrack, "Ballad of Easy Rider" by Roger McGuinn of The Byrds, is great too, but pales compared to the version by Sandy Denny. If you've got a thing for angelic voices, then lend your ears to her voice. Her work with Fairport Convention is quite masterful. For a taste, check out "Who Knows Where the Time Goes?", "Farewell, Farewell", "The Ballad Of Easy Rider", and "She Moves Through The Fair" among others.
I knew you'd like this! 🤩 I think this is the best use of a rock and roll song as the main movie theme I've ever heard. A close second would be Rock Around The Clock for the movie Blackboard Jungle.
This was 1969 , I was 9 - the first R rated movie I saw . what's next ? how about Right Place Wrong Time by Dr. John . if you keep reacting we'll keep watching
Yeah, the add uses a cheesy version of this song. Can't remember what it is for but has like a Psychedelic winged shoe in it. "Screaming Night Hog" is good and hard, "Snowblind Friend" is softer. "The Pusher" is somewhere in between.
