I reckon they were probably all incredibly nervous and emotionally - some people can sing OK when the tears are welling up, others really can't. Celine Dion, for example, can bawl her eyes out in perfect tune. I think Lisa and possible Faye were a bit over-whelmed with emotion here. But Claire sounds fantastic as always. I think it's a shame the boys didn't get more credit, particularly Lee; he actually has a very decent voice - albeit not the strongest in the world - certainly worth more than a bit of humming in the background, drowned out by the girls.
This is harder because the music and backing harmonies are so loud. The nerves of the first performance together after so long out of the limelight and without adequate vocal training preparation will cause times to sound off. HOWEVER, the fact that they had the courage to overcome all their struggles from the past and come together again under such time constraints is extremely remarkable. This is when our British music was clean, fun and heartwarming. Who wants pretentious 'cool' when you can just throw down your guard and enjoy yourself? Steps were not a serious construct and that's entirely the point! It's music that you can sing and dance to. Smile and just accept that we need this kind of music to take the edge of the drudgery!
yeah its not hard to relate to them. im actually a shy person especially when dancing as i always think people might bash and criticize me but whenever i see them perform and hear them sing and dance it really ups my confidence that I could dance too. Not alot of bands are like that
yeah and considering the circumstances leading to this live performance where they just came from a breakup of the band, harsh words were said and theyre trying to get back together youll really be amazed with their performance
who’s watching it now??? i remmber when i was in highschool, we would go to our classmate’s house, watch their concert and then we would dance and sing along... we really memorized the steps... and until now im still a fan... ilove them...
I just wanna say once again, thanks God they changed the management. 2011 reunion was good, but it's 2017's comeback that really wowed us and screamed STEPS ARE HERE TO STAY!! It's all thanks to Fascination management that did it right!
My fav song! When I was in my grade, my lovely daddy bought their cd, I dunno anything n just listen it. And for the first time I heard it, I love them. Now I feel like back to my childhood again. That was my great memories :)
whoever held the audition and combined 5 of them must get alot of props their voices really blend well even years after but gotta agree claire has the best vocals
I miss them so so so very much!!! *tears *tears *tears they're so genuine and talented. I am a fan since i was 10 y/o til now , I'm 29 and have 2 kids :) how i wish they perform here in the Philippines!!
Oh my god I relate to your comment a lot. It was my favorite group of all time. I used to look forward to come home from school and play their VCDS ( yes VCDs in 90s ). Now I'm 23, studying abroad away from home and my family but whenever I listen to their songs, it reminds me of my beautiful childhood. I love them so much.
hearing them sing LIVE always gives me goosebumps..how they manage to sing so harmoniously ..so well blended... best live acts so they say and this is never gonna change.. or top
Now this makes me feel old as its my childhood right here 😊 , I'm still listening to steps regularly now in 2016 because I just love them so , Claire is my favourite she is such a beautiful person inside and out an that voice of hers is just amazing 💐
I love you all. The first time I heard you guys singing and dancing I fell in love already. Thank you for being such a good role model from breaking apart to rekindling and forgiveness! May God bless each member of STEPS ❤👏👏👏
I got into Steps back in the day because one of my daughters loved their songs. I bought the greatest hits vid for her just after their split and when I watched it with her, this song plus When I Said Goodbye and Say You'll Be Mine became my faves. This one, though, is my all time Steps fave
agh! i am hooked with steps again. that's the way you guys make me feel. they are still amazing. i've been listening to alternative and other famous artists' songs now, but i cannot explain why steps captured me since then.
2018, Im a College Graduate now... I just remembered Listening to STEPS GOLD ALBUM and dancing with their choreography way back in my Elementary days... Here I am still watching their videos and still wishing to see them in the Philippines ❤ its been 20 years STEPS. LOVE YOU ALL 😍
