BRO!!!! I was not committing to tearing into all that wiring where my our amp is hiding and splicing a bunch of crap together! You just saved my A$$. I immediately pulled the trigger on the touch screen stereo I wanted on Amazon, right after seeing that connection up in there you showed us on your video. You the king! 2009 Avalanche
@@baggedandslammedbros8829 just tested her out and we got jamz! Also found an ACC 12v fuse in the drivers side fuse cubby to jack into, so tomorrow she'll be cleaned up and installed! Thanks again for the 1 out of 50 videos that actually got me there.
I take that back...Sure enough all them fuses in the driver's side panel are constant power. Ended up connecting to prong in a little panel under the driver side dash to the left of the brake peddle. We are cleaned up and rolling!
good to hear and glad we could help. we also had a hard time finding a video for help but we got it done and lucky for u that u found somepower inside the cab we tied into the fuse box in the motor as we showed in the vid. good to hear tho nice!🫡
Yo, whats up Jerry. Theres the 2 plugs up top for the factory Bose system. And, only one of those plugs goes into the aftermarket stereo harness right? Or?
I have a 2010 gmc yukon denali with bose the bose amp in center counsel however i didn't have the speaker hook up you have in the upper part of the cavity where you connected your harness. So i had to remove the counsel wich was easy to do, so all i have to do is figure the wiring connection out. Was so hoping it was as easy as yours was.
I have the 200 buck harness, I’m hooking up a 4 channel amp. I got sound coming out the back door speakers, but can’t get sound out the front. I tap into the plugs behind the radio you guys said too. But only way I got power to the radio was to plug it back into the Bose. So my next question is , do I need to use the red and yellow coming off the back of my radio to get power or. Thanks if you can point me in the right direction
inwould make sure u hooked up the correct cables to the radio harness. i cant speak for the 200$ harness that is one reason y i went with the cheaper one and bypassed the bose system i also bypassed it because i dont need the bose amp since we installed a aftermarket amp yes we did loose the steering wheel controls but we can live with that
But bypassing the bose wont sound the same because of its amp being bypassed, yes it will have sound coming out but the bose has like the crossover and processor that makes the speakers sound great. In my experience my bose are bypassed and the speakers don’t have the low frequencies which sounds like crap. I will eventually connect the bose back so it will enhance the speakers.
@@baggedandslammedbros8829 im not sure which, theres no names of brands or any pics of the harness packaging. Just looking to bypass the factory Bose, theres like 4 or 5 different aftermarket harnesses for these trucks. Do you remember the harness brand at all? I watched the vid but dont know if both top plugs go into a harness or just one plug out of 2 up top
tbh its been a minute so dj the brand of harness its a cheap harness from the fleamarket it was like 25$ its a two plug harness which u can see clearly in the vid at 3:07mn if u really watch the vid it shows u everything u need to do. even the comment section everybody was able to do the same exact thing
@@baggedandslammedbros8829 No worries I got it, its 2 plugs that go into the top 2 plugs. Ive installed systems in all my cars but this one threw me off mostly cause I havent taken the OEM headunit to look at what the plugs look like. Thanks
