For our Halloween Special, I thought it would be awesome to premiere the DIY subwoofer build I did, rightfully named "The Punisher". It features the HST-15 Subwoofer from Stereo Integrity and is housed in a custom sealed box made by none other than GSG Audio just for this build! Powered by the Sinbosen FP14000 this Subwoofer build is meant for punishment!

Nick is one of the best human beings I know ( ok, he’s my son..😀), I instilled in him the concept of always making the most sonically accurate subs on the planet. Everyone’s goal should be to recreate the actual sounds that are recorded so that it can fool a blind man. Thanks for your support and great videos.

believe you me, i enjoy the content, thus i watch the videos. tho my knowledge/background is limited to 12v electrical systems, amperage is amperage is amperage... why would an amplifier power supply (both 12/110v) require a large wire gauge per amperage, just to step the gauge down on the way into the speaker. if im wrong, please correct me. (i have no problem admitting when im wrong) New audio knowledge is always welcome. Thanks

Ernest. You have a large power and ground because of the length and a amp pulls more power than it puts out. The speaker wires are usually a lot shorter than the power wire to the amp so they can be smaller

14K watts thru those skinny ass wires!?!? and what thickness was that wood, 5/8!?!? u should've ran at least 10ga and 3/4 minimum. (car audio should b 8ga and 3/4 with a 1in front baffle)

Man Mike awesome video! The intro was super awesome. That box kit is incredible, I guarantee your sub is built better than my house! Next time you talk to Nick, tell him that I drool at the sight of that driver. LOL That flexing shot is incredible. Great work pre-drilling the mounting hole for the driver. Lastly, thank for including the interview with Nick!

I have the hst12, and I must agree with you, this sub ruins every other sub. Clean, articulate, and powerful. It is by far the best single sub set up that I have ever used. I have my hst in a 15 inch double walled cube, yielding about .55cuft sealed, and nobody believes that a sub this size, could do so much in an enclosure so small. I have said it before, and I will say it again; the only thing that exceeds Nick's product, is his customer service. He once replied to an e-mail that I sent after midnight, and how many times have you called a company and spoke with the owner? I use my hst12 in my vehicle, on an Incriminator Audio 3rd gen IA20.1 at 1ohm, I love it. Pictures do these subs no justice whatsoever, they are MASSIVE!

I think it came out great. Good sound in a (relatively) small footprint. Hard to justify though when for basically the same price you could go dual devastators lol. :)

Nice build, it's a pity you have a spray over from the white, should have taped off more. Also a pity you didn't put soe bondo on the edges to sand it down, you see the seams very clearly

in your opinion, how would this compare to the gsg full marty build with 18" um22 woofer?

Different type of bass, the Punisher is way more musical and gets just as deep because it’s pushed with the right power. And it’s way smaller. Now if it’s just for home theater and you have the room then full Marty is a great choice because you don’t need as much power.

UM series cannot hold a candle to SI HST products...I've got 2 blown UM15s in my garage collecting dust....My SI IB24s are the last subs I will ever need....the ultra low end from these beasts has to be heard to be believed ....

@@audioarkitekts If you want to know how amazing a sub can really be, try one or 2 of the 24 series.... Mine are the IB series and its the cleanest bass you will ever hear ...all the way down to 5hz with authority...

i was planning to change my current setup (3x Paradigm pw2200) to the 3x GSG Full Marty’s. Everything i’ve read and seen online till now only confirms that’s the best way to go and still stay within a reasonable budget. My compromise however would be, because of the cabinets width, i would not have optimal placement of my front towers ( they would have to be placed closer together thus narrowing the front sound stage. Enter the smaller cabinets of this build..Am i correct to assume it’s the all same in a smaller package?
