Sterling's past is beyond shady, do a little research and you'll find that he's been a racist (and a pretty shitty person in general) his entire life. BUT, after listening to the tape between him and his mistress and watching his interview with Cooper, I can't get behind the "let's crucify Sterling" movement. The man is a shell of a human being. He's a scared, confused, miserable old man who occasionally gets his shit together long enough to say something offensive. His termination from the league shouldn't be seen as "We got that bastard Sterling", but as a message to current/future NBA owners and to those in power throughout society that racism is not acceptable-no matter how much money and influence you have. Sterling needed to be exposed decades ago, at this point people are just beating up on a senile old man who no longer has the capacity to learn/understand why the things he has done are wrong.
