But instead of looking at Bennett and what he was doing objectively, it was always “we’ll he plays to UGA” and “he’s a walk-in” the fact that a he was actually able to walk on at UGA with all of that talent and actually got on the field over bigger recruits is a testament to him

With the coddled, golden boy QBs, like a Justin Fields, the protocol is to create a narrative that everything around him is subpar from teammates, to coaching, to even ownership. Every excuse is given, in the case that the golden boy QB fails, then he’s free of any blame. At the same time, anything good he does will all be credited to him and how amazing he is for overcoming such a terrible situation.

(It’s because he played in college for way longer than the other rookies) He’s had more time to develop. I don’t think he’ll ever by a top 8 QB as a starter, but he can probably be a solid middle of the pack starter which is all you really need in Sean McVay’s offense

Unless Stafford gets hurt, and they won’t want to take Stetson off the field once he’s settled. The Rams know Stetson is a competitor, and has a great work ethic. He has much more upside. They know he’s a low risk pick that could excel if given the chance; and coaching. When Stafford is gone he will be their starter for the foreseeable future. His whole career is him being doubted, and he constantly proves people wrong. Then people use the excuse that he was on a loaded team. So were the other top QBs taken in the draft. Only difference is he won 2 back to back titles. He’s a gamer. If he doesn’t ever become a starter he’s going to have a long career as a number 2. Yea it’s cool to be the star but being in the league for 8 plus years as a back up still means the league sees value in you.
