Tone is also in the mind, (I like to call that earmagination), and the instrument is there to provide that feedback to what we imagine we wanted to sound like but it is a two-way street as well, the instrument will inspire us to hear more possibilities.

@@isetta4083 I guess there are a number of possibilities, the microphones only which would be super nice to hear, the microphones and the amplifier in the background, DI only which we don’t seem to be hearing thank God! Then a number of other combinations. DI and micing the amplifier, I don’t know if he’s got a lapel mic on but I’ll check back My Martin 4 string acoustic bass guitar, the all mahogany one, sounds incredible all the way down to the E unplugged

Are the Warwick Aliens manufactured in Germany OR Indonesia? Or are there German & Indonesia made Aliens, if so what is the difference and how can tell the difference between the two? Thank you.
The New ones are all built in China (rockbass alien standard, rockbass alien deluxe and Warwick alien) The old series of the Warwick alien was built in Vietnam.
Funny @Kristina Villhauer- When I google your name in front of the words "bass guitar", I don't see any of your videos! Am I missing something?? Steve is an amazing bass player... so amazing, in fact; not one, but TWO world renowned bass guitar manufacturers have decided to give him a signature model!! If you want to hate on him for being a one trick pony, so be it. Make no mistake, however, that one trick of his is absolutely stellar!! If he were so very clueless, as you say, perhaps you can explain to me why the incomparable Victor Wooten has chosen to partner up with him; gigging from coast to coast for nearly two decades, as well as bringing him on as a teacher and major contributor to his very own bass camp! I don't know man, you do the math!!
