Everybody loves Bruce until he manages their club and then they realise why almost every club he's been at have wanted him gone. Never his fault, always an excuse

As a newcastle fan if he had a better record with us and better tactics he'd have got on okay but people don't realise is newcastle fans have wanted him gone for the past 18months not the past 12 days

I’m a Newcastle fan and I know fine well Sunderland fans don’t and didn’t have expectations to be a top 10 club. The amount of rubbish this bloke talks to cover his own back is embarrassing.

You’re absolutely correct… all that was wanted & expected was to see some decent football, at least be competitive & remain in the Premier league… it really wasn’t much to ask considering the vast amount of money he had to spend…🧐👍🏻

He loves playing the victim. He knows what the deal is before he goes to any club, and no fans hate a manager that brings good results. He’s a terrible coach & has won nothing. Granted he seems like a nice guy and the players like him but that’s such a small part of the job. He’s been in football long enough to know that. This victim story being pushed is pathetic

He's been treated like a RAT by the media. The evils they've put this poor man through. He's gained weight and gone grey suddenly. That is stress and PTSD. It's been a bullying campaign against him, a witch hunt. he has been victimized for many years by everybody. I hope that he can find peace in the storm, and regain his self-worth and mental health.

He seems so much more alive than he did at NUFC. and it is true losing A Gyan Darren Bent Frazer and Danny W. but then Steve couldn't manage to get anything out of big Kenwyn Jones. He introduced young Jordan Henderson to the prem .. But then without strikers you cannot get anywhere.

He’s a grown man always plays the victim fans pay up to £800 for season tickets and he’s making 6 mill a year and just got 8 mill pay off and had so many friends in the media who toot his horn even tho he’s got no tactical brain and blames everyone but himself and talks the opposition up like they’re Barcelona even though it’s a championship team in the cup

Who is a better manager between Bruce and Ole Gunnar Solsker or Arteta for that matter? What would Bruce do if he had the same resources as Manchester United or Arsenal? This man has given a lot to English football and I feel he is not being shown the respect he deserves, that's my opinion and don't argue with me.

The expectation to win at Newcastle was massive but we all know what happened but there again paulo de canio won there and got the sack. Funny game football. If de canio was manager we would not be where we are today. Player power

That's not accurate. There was very little expectation thanks to Ashley but the style of football served up by Bruce was dire. He's a tactical dinosaur!

@@Buckblacket calling him a tactical dinosaur is too kind. His exact words to a journalist around 2010 (TWO THOUSAND AND TEN!!!!) were “I don’t do tactics”! So calling him a tactical dinosaur does a disservice to the stegosaurus and velociraptors. Who both had more tactical nous than he ever had.

Not that hatred bothers me as it's a normal human reaction to things that are hate-worthy...but could you explain what you mean? Who is inciting hatred against who? If it's the Chronicle, then I find that bizarre as their just a milquetoast local paper that hardly inspires any political polarization - Give me names of journalists - Articles written etc - So I can gauge what you're going on about.
