Nice. Seeing a former officer keeping in touch with it all. You don't see many spectras anymore they were reliable radios. A9 head units were great. The 5000 portable very reliable and even though it's at end of line I'd choose it over one them apx ones any day.

Yeah, I get LAPD officers on set commenting all the time that they wish their cars had lights like mine. Apparently in the days of loud stereos, texting, etc, it's hard to get people's attention there days while rolling Code 3. It slows down responses to 911 calls for sure!

SPK, I have aluminum covers for the light bar that are black and say NOT IN SERVICE, all other lights are taped over and NOT IN SERVICE signs on the doors as well when traveling to and from set. pretty common sight in Hollywood.

Hey cool stuff, How much do you have invested in all that gear? Also how often do you get work?

This might be a really dumb question, but how do you get your car around with out getting pulled over? I know that the police labels are magnets, but what about the lights and such? Do the cops ever give you a hard time?

I know. I just like the look and the uniform needs to have 'something different' about it for movie work anyways.
