Steve's rendition of his and Love Affair's 1969 hit single. Steve's latest album, "Boom Bang Twang" is available from all good record stores and online outlets.
This guy 18 years young was well overlooked in the 60s. He was so much better than many. Saying that the 60s produced many great singers, songs and music. Rainbow Valley, Everlasting Love, A Day Without Love. All three (3)were of the best ever. I was 11 years young when I bought Everlasting Love on 7". Still in 04/24 all played daily for the music, the sound and incredible voice and of course the wonderful childhood memories and nostalgia. Steve Ellis Thank you.
@@lindasmith-wj5nk I agree I think the problem of most bands in the 60s and early 70s was they were overshadowed by the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Who…..but they did have some brilliant hits of their own…Love Affair had some classic songs…”Bringing on back the good times” is a particular favourite of mine 👍🏻
The most brilliant but underrated British band. Beautiful music. How can you not love this makes me feel so happy, while tugging at my heart for those Good times again. Well done Steve and the band. Love you. Thank you for the music.
Saw the great Mr Ellis last November on the Sixties Gold Tour 2019 and he's still brilliant, still belting them out! They announced they'd have an even greater lineup for the 2020 tour but I expect that's been put on hold for the foreseeable future, but God willing everyone stays safe and well and they can all resume when this awful bloody virus buggers off! Steve is such a legend - an original Sixties blue-eyed soul boy! I'm absolutely gutted, just found out that Steve is only doing the second leg of the Sixties Gold Tour 2020 and therefore won't be at the Winding Wheel Chesterfield. Mr Ellis you will be sorely missed and I will be sorely disappointed!
I dedicated this song to my wee cousin Annmarie for overwhelming help in 2013! We've known each other since we were babies! NOTHING can happen to her, I'll NEVER recover😮
Saw virtually all of the sixties and a lot of the seventies groups play live and still say Love Affair were one of the very best. And a guy who can really sing rarely loses it.
They knew what made great singles. What a pity Steve Ellis did not continue with Love Affair - he left too early. Voice not where it was here, but good to see him out there.
With such a great voice as that, he must be pretty bitter at not having the success that many others from the 60’s had. These 60’s tours are mainly made up of bands with maybe one or no original members so he probs feels out of place. Kudos on the guy for not going out as The Love Affair.
Absolutely brilliant superb Steve Ellis, born with natural skill talent art,his voice is magnificent ,Steve must of looked after himself, I wonder what he's been doing ,from 1960s 70s,he should of been at the top of his profession,, these were magnificent songs from a magnificent group
