For new aspiring Steve players: Steve is a lot of fun but I think he's missing a few crucial things, that gimmick everyone has in tekken 8 which gives them an edge. To survive with Steve, you really need good fundamentals to rely on, F3 cancels are also necessary for baiting. The fact remains that he has no neutral launchers and his fastest one is -17 (Can't even punish Rage art with that launch). He's pretty good and a CH monster once you know baiting and fishing for CH B1, but he's a lot of hard work unlike most of our tekken cast here. Stay grinding.
Isnt pkb, df2/uf2 natural launchers? but still, like you said they're pretty bad on block. Playing Steve in Tekken 8 feels like playing Dark Souls with stick and bones now lmao
@@hiraprxc So pkb uf2 won't be considered neutral, df2 is also not neutral as you need to be in ducking. Uf2 is a good launcher but it's around 22 frames of I am not wrong, so nothing gonna punish rage art unlike most in the roster. Steve feels like waste of skin option you get when selecting class in Dark souls. 😆 But he is the best one for pro's
@@Shivanshu25 uf 2 is the worst orbital launch in the game its more minus than normal hopkicks( -14) and doesnt have the evasion that normal hopkicks would have or the saveness of an orbital its really bad😅
Man hearing this as a new player is so intimidating lol like I know how important it is for me to use a character I really vibe with, ESPECIALLY in a game as difficult as Tekken, but it's hard knowing that with every match I lose I could've been having a slightly easier time if I just choose almost anyone else. I'll still stick with him because I think I just need to change my mindset and try to enjoy the learning process but it's easier said than done lol
I don’t understand why they didn’t get him his old df2 counter hit launch, no shiro required. That would help him so much. Also there’s no reason sonic fang shouldn’t launch is heat, it’s ridiculous!!!
You can do df2 after he does the EXPULSION (teleport up slam) and get a full combo cause it forces crouch if you block it. And you gotta get used to using peakaboo being really really close or keep him in back one range while tryna side step. Use more grabs out of stances and Don’t let him grab you easily
That’s because you do. Trying to main Steve atm but he’s a difficult character learn combo wise. Think one of the hardest characters in the game imo but defo rewarding once you got the hang of it
that means you need to learn more about steve and be patient, the more you learn about steve the more option you'll see that makes him on par with other char but obviously he requires IQ and can't cheese like the others@@rinnegansam
